Pros
Worked with a lot of good people for several years, many had the passion and enthusiasm to do the right thing vs. doing it right. Core values of the company and many employees were admirable. One of the larger employers on the north shore, which offered many of the same opportunities as other companies without the commute into Boston.
Cons
Company has had waves of leadership turnover in the past 2 years (some good, some bad), downsizing and layoffs are a sign of the times, long time employees leaving the company, morale has declined substantially amongst long time employees, many employees question the future viability of the company, and there seems to be blurry vision and strategy i.e. execution is too slow or ineffective. Open management positions are often not replaced, and instead combined with other jobs which rewards hard working employees with more work and responsibility (pros and cons here). Sadly many long time employees are unable or unwilling to make a job change, so instead they will continue to work and stay at their post on a slowly sinking ship until retirement.
