Pros

You get to work with great people who are struggling to succeed alongside you. Because of this struggle, the friendships you develop last a lifetime. There is opportunity to learn things, if you take the bull by the horns and learn them yourself since nobody will really teach you anything.

Cons

Pretty much every other aspect of this company, besides the people you work with, is lackluster. The pay was/currently is below industry standard and will only minimally increase if you get promoted to a higher role. Unless you join the sales department, you’re not going to get support from management apart from getting told what to do on a daily basis with absolute no coaching. Being introduced as a new employee to the department, I was told to put a headset on and call an upset client on my first day without a remote understanding of the internal systems and how they operate. Retaining clients is objective number 1, even though this is probably the worst thing this company does well, since high-tiered clients are always cancelling. This company just doesn’t care about its employees (again, unless you’re on the sales team) and only does fun things to promote on Facebook/LinkedIn. If you join Client Experience, you’re going to be stuck in a headset, forced to monitor a queue (there’s a queue for almost every department) and answer calls all day. Oh, and they make you notify management simply to step outside for a break.

Dear DMT, Your review obviously caught my attention so I was sure to speak to the whole company about it this afternoon. It as in Glassdoor. While I appreciate your feedback I don’t think quitting a job and then blowing up Glassdoor does anyone any good. I can guarantee you that all of us, including your managers and directors, care a lot about you specifically and the team in general.

Because not everyone is at the point in their career where they are comfortable addressing conflict face to face (which is the best way honestly) I launched an anonymous employee feedback form on the Intranet today as I would much prefer for anyone who has a question or is unhappy to give us that feedback so we can address the issue directly and promptly; before things fester and turn into a separated employee and a savage Glassdoor review. We have a terrific company with great opportunity for everyone, Sales and Client Experience alike. Yes, your department has been going through a complete revamp over the past 6 months and it clearly impacted you. I am sorry your takeaway was a negative one. I truly wish there had been better lines of communication with you prior to this point. I will take your feedback and work with the leadership and employees throughout the company to continue to improve. Linda
