Pros

1. the company attracts amazing people - both as employees, ambassadors and customers 2. you will learn so much about yourself, about business, about the world 3. free yoga, great discount (though there is an unspoken assumption that you will constantly buy new product and market the company through your yoga class attendance) 4. there are interesting training and development opportunities 5. the passion within the organization is amazing - so many dedicated people! 6. you have a safe place to learn what to do (and what not to do) when running a business

Cons

This is a public company and their responsibility is to make money for their share holders - which is felt by employees: 1. you have to work a lot!! a lot of hours, a lot of weekends, a lot of holidays. all the time! stores, regions, and the support centre are often short staffed and people are doing 2-3 people's jobs. 2. transparency is a lark - senior management makes it seem like there is transparency through "internal communications", but all communication is cleverly and intentionally designed. always read between the lines! 3. people are pushed beyond what is possible and are then "performance managed" out of their roles. people are truly expected to be "perfect" (then the company can't understand why their turnover is high, and people don't want to recommend it as a place to work). 4. there are "favorites" and politics imbedded very deeply in the organization. 5. the highly touted "entrepreneurial manager" is a guise

Pros

The benefits with the sweaty Pursuits is good and the insurance is good too! You get a team that you get to put together and get to know them and see what works for you guys to be successful in a processing shift!

Cons

The nights are long and very overworked. They ask a lot from you and usually they put the business before you. It’s always we need this and that from the managers but not actually taking time to help or to actually see that we are trying our best and if they actually worked a shift with us and saw the struggles they would understand more. They think it’s easy, when the weight of the store depends on us. You are also qualified as a Guest Experience lead since you have to do both trainings so the management do over utilise that and you will be doing two jobs. Even though it says in the description to support the floor but there’s a difference between supporting from time to time and doing it all the time where you are running the floor and the back at the same time but they’ll say “oh why isn’t this done?” Maybe because you’ve told me to help you out ? The are also very selective about who moves up to be a manager. No work life balance at all!
