Pros

Good selection of shifts... although they have lost a lot of their good contracts now.

Cons

No uniform provided. They give you a "choice" of being employed with the company on PAYE, being under an umbrella company, or being employed under your own LTD company but they push you towards the latter two- stating that you can "make more money this way" due to offsetting your tax with expenses. They mislead you into signing up to their accountant without fully explaining that with these two choices you also have to pay £25 pw (£1200 per year!!!!) for the accountant!! AS well as having to pay corporation tax (this is why they push you to work under your own company; so they dont have to pay the corporation tax for you!! (and extra £couple hundred per month). They do not let you use your own accountant, even though it states clearly in the contract that you may do so if you pay for it yourself. Operations managers have been found to be charging clients a higher rate per hour for the staff they hire, only to pay the staff less than minimum wage! Operations managers have been known to turn up to work a site ONLY to see VIP's and then head off to the pub to get drunk when they are still supposed to be on shift. Operations managers do not pay ANY attention to complaints from staff OR clients and they do not meet up with their clients often enough, and do not care enough. This is why they have lost most of the great contracts they had such as Tower of London, Kensington Palace, The Dorchester Hotel. They have absolutely NO communication skills at all. WIthin the company there are so many issues and problems that arise from lack of briefing/debriefing, and people just not talking to each other in the office. It's like no one works at the same company, cos they have no idea what's going on! They don't care about developing staff, or taking care of staff in any way. Any good staff they had, left. My supervisor has been with the company for 2 years (transferred from another company as Entourage took over the contract) and he has NEVER taken a sick day from them. When he called in 7hrs before a shift as he was so ill he couldn't work, someone in the control room gave him so much trouble about it, said that they didn't believe him and took all his shifts off him for the rest of the week! (he had to speak to the client who then said they need the same person supervising all the time and got his shifts reinstated). Overall, this company was good to begin with and had varied sites and dates/times to choose from but they have really screwed up now!!
