Stable Company with Good Culture

Pros

Good pay, good benefits and pension, and overall a supportive and inviting culture. I feel my professional growth is supported and I am given some freedom to make an impact in my role.

Cons

Equitable, as a 100 year company, may not always be cutting edge in the marketplace. The company tends to think very pragmatically - meaning they will seek proven concepts rather try innovative risky ideas. That trade off comes with very stable financial growth, which in this uncertain economy is a plus in many ways.

Pros

Great place to help educators and grow your business independently

Cons

Lacking mentorship and sufficient management, not ideal for learning if you're a first-year advisor... but you can do pretty much anything
