    Pros

good location close to the sea and the mountains, advanced research work, good salary as a PhD student, people are always nice.

    Cons

still eurecom is not that famous and it is too small. If you seek an university of high rank, it may not be the choice.

    Advice to Management

If you want to a PhD degree in short time (three years), it is a pretty good place to go.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Eurecom as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - better salaries for PhD students than those in public research
    - better connections with industry
    - young and talented research fellows and faculties from all over the world
    - it's also a university, with students coming from several countries

    Cons

    - not strong research culture - more industry and profit driven
    - small environment, not very dynamic
    - you don't get to talk and learn French much (and the English most people speak is not so good either)

    Advice to Management

    - valorize more good research
    - improve integration among staff by promoting networking events
    - automatize processes (e.g. timesheet etc)

    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Eurecom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Dynamic, international people
Leading in Mobile communication + Security
Weather is so good in the locals
    French wine is the best

    Cons

A little bit isolated if you want to cooperate to other universities.
Very few equipments to help relieve the stress of Ph.D students (you know...)

    Advice to Management

Invest in more infrastructures, with more focuses on Student's social aspects. The building is modern but boring with plain walls and cubic rooms.

    Pros

Very nice working Environment, international, close to Nice, good professors. Possibility to learn a lot.

    Cons

Not much collaboration between professors this makes the environment too much competitive. The new building is still not complete

    Pros

Salaire intéressant, réputation internationale, participation à des conférences

    Cons

Peu de flexibilité de la part de la direction

Doctorat non pris en compte pour les décisions

    Advice to Management

Ne pas trop se fier à l'avis de l'étudiant en doctorat au statut de visiteur

Les conditions des doctorants dépendent beaucoup de la supervision et du projet
