I have been working at Exact full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There is a clear corporate vision that is openly communicated by the CEO.
The people across all divisions/teams are good to work with.
Benefits, except for salary, are above average.

    Cons

Exact is not a known brand name in the US and the corporate vision is all about the Cloud.
    Salaries are below average.
There is a lot of red tape, procedures are put in place that focus on the exceptions rather than the norms, creating a huge admin overhead for many roles.
Corporate IT infrastructure is terrible, the communication tools and the IT support could do with some upgrades.

    Advice to Management

Invest a little more to increase brand recognition in the US, there is a lot of opportunity here. Improve the corporate infrastructure, Jabber needs to be replaced.

I worked at Exact full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits are good, can work 1 day a week from home. Depending what department you are in, great managers!

    Cons

Small company, GM is not transparent, no culture, not good at work life balance, and the future looks like they may not even be a company anymore

    Advice to Management

Work closer to employees, give more recognition to all, build a future for Exact to assure the company will still exist in 10 years.

I worked at Exact full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Global company with innovative product for CRM, doc management, HRM etc. Committed and intelligent employees. Significant management changes since I left seem to have brought focus.

    Cons

Significant corporate management changes over the years that I was at Pega. 3 CEOs in three years. A number of legacy products with older technology that needs to be updated. Even the Globe product is outdated technology now. Newer Cloud-based solutions have a European flavor, not sure if they have been updated to the North American market yet.

I worked at Exact full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They have flexible hours. Many employees come in early and leave by 4:00 pm

    Cons

Management doesn't listen to the market or to the employees on the front line dealing with prospects and customers. Additionally, they are 100% in maintenance mode with their client-server product. The company is focused solely on trying to push and promote their cloud product version.

    Advice to Management

It is never a good idea to terminate and lay off your best performing sales people. I would not recommend anyone that is a millennial or anyone that wants to have input into decisions working here. The Executive Management is a dictator and makes unwise unilateral decisions that affect careers.

    Pros

Great overall company. I like what they stand for in the market place and the opportunities they offer. Management was wonderful to work with.

    Cons

Not much room for creative thinkers in the everyday office space. I like collaborative approaches to problem solving- there are a lot of black & white solutions at this org. Staff overall was friendly, however older staff who had been there for a long time was challenging to work with.
