Pros

pay is still near the top of market value. depending on the team work life balance is highly considered.

Cons

after laying off over 1/4 of the company there seems no future for a job now. nobody wants to work here besides for the paycheck now. it used to be a friendly environment where you got to know everyone and had turned into a disjointed mess of different products that don't work with each other. last year's promise of stable releases and no more layoffs were complete lies.

Pros

Good place to get into the door and learn the background of parking. If you have a supervisor N, you will go far, all other leadership is trash. Good luck

Cons

After the culture shift from private to public/corporate, The support dept. has turned into the worst place to work. It is all about numbers, they will not care how good you are at troubleshooting. They will over work you. There is no accountability, people who frankly suck at their job or cannot handle the workload will push it off to you, if you are good or SME they will use and abuse you. THERE IS NO BACKBONE IN FLASH- it doesn’t matter if contractually the client is wrong or out of line, you will have to bend over backward to make things right. I have plenty of examples of this.. If you manager to get promoted to L3, tier3, help desk, escalation or what ever they are calling their higher level support. You will personally deal with the most incompetent internal sales managers, VP’s, directors (yes even the ones your directly work under) they will not understand how simple processes work and how FLASH works and all your direct leadership will say is “well, we can’t say know to them” and “white glove service”. You will be by yourself, leadership will throw you under the bus as soon as it’s convenient. Beware of succeeding, they will promote over pay raises then turn around and ask you to justify your position and pay then Lay you off and say it was because the position is no longer needed, but still keep 3 people in that same position. Support management doesn’t know anything about hardware and software. Look to your peers and self train and their training has turned into a joke with the culture change. It does not matter how long you stay with this company they will only see you as a number. Gotta love going more corporate I have a lot more negative experiences in the support role in the last 7 months than I did at my 3yr 10months here. It is surprising how many Salesman, directors of customer experience, senior level managers that don’t know anything except how to word and email and use excel. I also have examples.. If there was an undercover bosses episode the CEO would be very disappointed in how his company fallen.

Good work life balance but divisive culture

Pros

Good pay and work life balance. Remote first culture is considered a plus for most. No micromanaging seems to occur From a company vision standpoint, leadership does make a concerted effort to show employees and customers the vision of the future and how we fit into it. The way this has been packaged and marketed is really well done.

Cons

Culture is highly risk adverse and lots of anger and finger pointing goes down if any mistakes get made in most divisions with few exception. A tough environment to be a new employee in or if you’re someone who likes a more “tech” culture of trying new things. Lots of conflict between divisions. Very rarely do separate products/divisions understand how to work together due to a lack of guidance from leadership. People frequently but heads over who should be doing X and who doesn’t want to do Y. Perhaps a symptom of all the reorganizations without clearly defined roles and decision making processes. Changing anything takes forever with a complex web of stakeholders which are ever changing. Leadership does little to help bring people and vision together. Decisions get made behind closed doors without warning to other divisions. Constant power grab culture from various parties compounds that problem. A real “dog eat dog” environment that feel like every team for themselves.
