I have been working at FORUM Credit Union full-time

    Pros

The culture at FORUM is unlike any other. Everyone is extremely helpful and has a lot of FORUM pride. There are always ways to get involved and FORUM truly feels like a family. I love their passion for community and all of the fun things that are planned to help fundraise, boost morale, and make employees feel appreciated. Our CEO is outstanding and makes it a point to know everyone and be directly involved with the employees. This is not a company where you never see the executes. Overall, I think FORUM has earned its reputation as one of the best places to work in Indiana. I would highly recommend working here!

    Cons

I can't really think of any cons from my experience here.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work! I love working for FORUM!

I worked at FORUM Credit Union (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent management staff. All the managers up to the CEO are friendly, provide guidance, and are knowledgeable in their departments. Best culture of any job I have had and best work/life balance. Pay was good as well.

    Cons

Lots of people have been there years and years so a bit harder to get promotions unless you stay there for at least a few years.

You can become a bit stagnant in you career
Pay could be better once you have experience

    Advice to Management

Management is awesome but wage increases should be reworked

I have been working at FORUM Credit Union full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They are very organized as a credit union. I love the opportunity and benefits they offer. They have many benefits and treat the employees well.

    Cons

I wish it was easier to move up in the organization or to switch to a different department. We need more time off.

I have been working at FORUM Credit Union full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

CEO supports fun work culture. Employees work hard but also have fun. Strong focus on service to members. Great paid time off structure. Company values employees and strives to grow and develop employees. Growth opportunities include leadership development and mentor program. Leadership encourages good work-life balance. Progressive credit union with strong focus on technology and growth.

    Cons

Compensation is average to high for credit union/entry level banking industry but low compared to other industries. Smaller company means fewer management/officer level opportunities.

I worked at FORUM Credit Union full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was nice to help so many people with loans for cars, vacations, or other needs people had. Most of the people I worked with were very easy to work with. The customers were very pleasant too. I had a chance to advance from a teller.

    Cons

In the phone in loan department, there were times where we were required to come back in the evening and make out bound solicitation phone calls to current customers.

    Pros

Large amount of vacation/paid time off depending on length of time with company. Headquarters building has good professional atmosphere.

    Cons

Little to no advancement opportunities. No opportunities for those that perform above average and exceed expectations. Company policies don't seem to be uniform across different departments.
