I have been working at Faurecia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company to work for - really making strides to become better employer (employee programs, feedback, training etc). Pays well. Good working environment and great employees.

    Cons

Lots of "political" decision making by management. Not enough North American independence from France "mother-ship". Overly complicated systems that are consequently not utilized by employees correctly or to full potential. Inconsistency in corporate practice and application of lessons learned.

    Advice to Management

Keep working to improve for employees. Take a more firm approach with OEM customers when business cases fall apart during development or serial life.

I worked at Faurecia full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Shifts are like one big family, good amount of learning in certain areas for ones that need a mental challenge, able to make some decent money

    Cons

Don't want to pay employees who deserve it, not many days off due to the constant changes in schedule, no position growth

    Advice to Management

Start take care of your hard working people cause somebody else will.

I worked at Faurecia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay is good. Benefits were good but changed and do not know how they are now. 401K matching.

    Cons

Worked in Emissions side. Not enough people in the right places to do the work. Always talking about head count too high. Tech center has their own agenda and rarely listens to the plants. Good people but the process needs to change. Facility I worked at is voluntary Union which is not a problem except it rewards the slackers and beats down the hard workers which makes for a lower moral on the floor.

    Advice to Management

Stop the "us vs. them" mentality between the plants and CTC. Put salary staffing in the right places to support production instead of paperwork. Listen more to the workers on the floor and reward the hard workers better. Get more involved in the actual plant floor to see what they need .... They are the keys to your success!

I have been working at Faurecia full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are opportunities to work remote. If you can't get that gimmie in your negotiations you missed out on the only good thing about working for the company.Turnover is so high that they nearly always have an opening.

    Cons

So, So many. Management is just a horrible as you would expect with upwards of 50% turnover in most non-managerial areas. Communication and leadership are nonexistent. Most of the time its sink or swim. Coworkers make for a multicultural environment, but the management is all "good ol boys" which is brutal. Women and minorities....forget about it.

    Advice to Management

You've changed everything else in the business at least twice, except for the god awful management team. Clean house, and focus on supporting the team.

I have been working at Faurecia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and plenty of available overtime.

    Cons

Mediocre pay scale, demanding schedule, and poor management.

    Advice to Management

You encourage a mediocre work ethic. An employee that works hard and goes above requirements on a regular basis is rewarded by being given the hardest jobs or two jobs at the same time because supervisors only care about numbers. Even if you rotate jobs, that employee will never get out of the trenches because they put up numbers. Employees that chat, waste time, and make friends with the boss get put in leadership roles. If you continue to promote social skills and punish work ethic your good workers will leave. Actually, frustration among the workers is a huge part of the high turnover.

I have been working at Faurecia full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Weekly Pay, benefits, if you're looking for overtime all the time cause you have nothing to do this is the place for you.

    Cons

Never enough for management, treat you like work horses. Way to much mandatory overtime, HR doesn't do business well with employees about switching shifts, depts.

    Advice to Management

Realize the workers have life's outside of work, brake our back but it's never good enough.

I have been working at Faurecia full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The turnover is high so its likely that any position you want will be available if you can wait a little while

    Cons

Lots of dumb policies and procedures. Silo'd departments that make it difficult to get things done.

    Advice to Management

Align the departments with common goals. Fill jobs with A players, not just warm bodies.
