Seemed like a very good place to start off but one needs to move on quickly
Pros
- A great intro to the local IT and procurement environment (meeting players and systems) - Depending on your dep't., entrepreneurial spirit could be high and rewarded (position and salary) - Several intelligent, interesting and nice colleagues - A couple of nice employee parties per year - An annual United Way collection drive - Nice facilities and solid benefits
Cons
- Location - traffic and inability to walk and grab a lunch (it's an isolated building) - In 3 years, did not get a single formal, well structured performance review - Very high turn over (around 50% a year) - Very little structure and no formal employee development - Was praised verbally only to be 180 degree blind sided in writing a bit later - Some employees may have gotten ahead through inappropriate means - While on review/probation, received an email from a company employee that contained a virus that wiped out all my documents and thus made my project late :)
