Pros

My experience with this company has been exceptional. As a tutor for over a year and a half I have not only built a rapport with my students and their families but I have begun to consider my fellow coworkers and the owner like family to me. If you ever need help pertaining to work for the student the owner is more than willing to provide you with one on one advice, as well as extensive resources, such as but not limited to forming a connection between past tutors that the particular student has had. This job has provided me with flexibility during my hectic life as a student and the owner is extremely understanding that my role of a student comes first. Talking with Lori (the owner) is always a joy and I look forward to continuing with this company in the future.

Pros

Loved all the clients I worked with

Cons

Underpaid with only $20/hour, not covering expenses for transportation time or gas. You'll also be taxed as being self-employed so you end up making nothing, even though she charges clients $60-$80 an hour.

Pros

- flexible hours; you can take on as many students as you can handle in the moment; student-tutor schedules usually always work out - location is never too far; director tries her best to assign you to students in your area - director is understanding of situations out of your control and always gives advice on how to improve and/or approach students who may need a little extra help; provides additional resources - director always pays her tutors on time; you get paid even if the student isn't home (director doesn't waste your time) - company is serious and only hires the best; during the interview, the director looks to see if you can teach and explain concepts in simple terms (in contrast to companies who only care about how you look on paper and your scores)

Cons

- nothing that I can think of
