      Pros

      Great place to get your foot in the door of the golf industry. The families and regular patrons are quite nice, and it is fulfilling to watch the children grow and develop. The pay is pretty good especially for non-profit work, and ultimately the mission is incredible too. All employees receive free golf benefits, too.

      Cons

      You never really build any loyalty. You can work your hardest for years, but you will always be seen as a commodity, easily replaced. Regional management/administration is very disconnected for the day-to-day.

      Not much work to do if you're in to that sort of thing.

      Petty arguments between management, two faced interactions with employees from management, unfair treatment of some employees.

      Working at The First Tee

      Really great atmosphere with lots of opportunity for input from staff as to how the classes should be run.

      Cons

      The program seemed to be very unorganized when I was there. There was no clear way of keeping track of participants and what level they should be at.
