I worked at FirstLight Federal Credit Union part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I liked working on Post and having mostly military members at the branch. Because I didn't speak Spanish things were more difficult when at a branch in town.

    Cons

many of the processes are not efficient. you have to Re-interview for the exact same position at the exact same branch making the exact same pay just to get more hours (become a full time employee)

    Advice to Management

Reduce redundancies. Increase staff to reduce long waits of members. Focus on quality instead of quantity from tellers and msr's.

    Pros

Good place to work, people are nice and they really care about their employees and their work/life balance. Ok schedule sometimes needed to stay over time and they made it easy if you had an emergency and needed to be absent.

    Cons

Growth is a little hard because they make you stay in a position for six months minimum, usually went by tenured when any growth opportunity arose. Salary isn't great, i can say it is a little under the average compared to other institution due to all your job functions. Undergoing a lot of change and making things a little harder, also there are many trainings you have to go and take tests every so often.

    Advice to Management

Update technology very old fashion and system usually crashes making many of their clients unhappy.
