Pros

You get to work in a upbeat environment Free fitness classes Make great relationships with the members You work in fitness

Cons

The leadership based in Cali seemed to be nonexistent. And the person in charge of the studios had no idea how to run a gym. The culture was “either you’re with us or leave” and they made it hard to be with them when they’re making so many mistakes. Delayed gym openings, poor communication, unrealistic sales numbers, etc. I don’t get how the team could mess up such an amazing opportunity to partner with Nike so bad. What frustrated me the most is that they never seemed to visit the Austin gyms, even when their top gym was in Austin. I came here because I wanted to learn how to run a gym, but I ended up learning how not to run a gym.

Pros

Incredible trainers and head trainers. You work with the best class instructors in the industry. Awesome, energetic sales team members.

Cons

TERRIBLE upper management team based in California. They mismanaged funds earlier in presale and because of that all studios opened severely late and were extremely in the red financially at the time of opening. They charge the most out of all fitness studios in the market but offer no where near what competitors offer. Here are a few things that their mismanagement of funds have caused: 1. They can’t move forward with repairs that hinder the success of the business. 2. They partnered with Nike, yet they don’t provide uniforms or restock Nike retail. They tell you to where your own personal Nike clothes and shoes if you have them. 3. Because of the lack of advertising budget, they tell you to rely only on grass roots Marketing to get members. There’s no help in the advertising filed. 4. The master plan of that ”Director of Member Experience” to save the failing gyms (and they are all failing unfortunately) is to force studio managers to go neighboring business and beg for giveaways to give their members. When some sort of monetary assistance was asked to help obtain giveaways, managers were told to barter free memberships. How are we going to barter free memberships to people who don’t care about free memberships to a studio the care nothing about?
