What's Not to LOVE about Five9?
Mar 10, 2023 - Executive Assistant in San Ramon, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Definitely the Culture! Brand new Beautiful offices in San Ramon - you can walk to City Center. I have been at Five9 7+ years and I have no desire to look for a job anywhere else. The salary is right there with other Silicon Valley High Tech companies. Solid Financials and a Stock that is on the rise. EStaff that is friendly, engaged, and listens to the Employees. A+
Cons
I can't think of any downsides.

Good, not Great for a Tech Company
Apr 12, 2023 - Account ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Everyone seems genuinely wonderful especially since there was a good emphasis on a culture fit in the interview. Sales onboarding was helpful and informative on the product. Not a true leader in the CCaaS space, but the product does seem pretty solid and is definitely moving towards that direction.
Cons
The benefits are terribly lacking and very behind the industry within the tech space. 401k match is laughable ($500 per quarter) Starting PTO days are lackluster (you start with 15 days, but they force you to take 3 days between Christmas and New Years.... so you basically start with 12 days of PTO). While they pay for your healthcare insurance premiums, it is very high for any dependents and the healthcare choices aren't amazing coverages.

Pros
There is nothing to say except that it is a company that lives by it's value system
Cons
If you come from a big 5 like Workday, Facebook, Google, Amazon, etc...take a deep breath...Five9 is getting there but trust the process..we have the right leadership

Pros
Five9 is a people-first company. From an HR perspective, it's great. The work is challenging and rewarding. The business has good hours, good benefits, and accessible managers.
Cons
A thin veneer of order masks disarray below. Narrow-minded lifers. Serial operational procrastination. Poor to non-existent communication between teams. Authoritarians run the new operating environment with a heavy-handedness worthy of DPRK membership.

Pros
Employee culture is at the top of the list. After working nearly 3 decades in a toxic company I finally took a chance and moved on, and how lucky I am to have found this company. Great management qualities that start at the C level and work down through the organizations; instills confidence in the direction of the company. Fast paced environment that is challenging and rewarding. Good compensation and benefits, great work-life balance.
Cons
Growth is straining some groups that are low on resources, would be nice to see a concerted effort in ramping up additional resources. PTO could be a little higher considering the fast paced environment, time off is essential to recharge.
