I loved it, I got a chance to Excel and grow
Sep 30, 2013 - Admin in Huntington Beach, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I was busy all the time, learning something new everyday.
Cons
I can't think of a con, just very busy.

Bad Management Staff
Apr 29, 2016 - Anonymous Employee in Cypress, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Flexible hours, some people are nice at lower level, clean and well maintained facility. The compensation is industry average. The work/life balance is good.
Cons
Very high turnover. Every month we have at least 1-2 people leave. I think last year we lost about 30 people. No one wants to stay with this company. The Sr. management is horrible to work with. They have no idea how to grow the business or how to retain the top talent people. The HR ladies are clueless, they don't do anything. Everything has to go through corporate. I feel bad for DiaSorin who paid $300M for this company. They will need to bring their top talent people because the one they got are not going to turn this company around. I strongly suggest them to fire all the Sr. management staff as soon as they close the deal.

Untapped Potential
Jun 8, 2015 - Anonymous Employee in Cypress, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Opportunity to learn something new every day. Most of the staff are fun and smart people. Opportunities to work across departments. Plenty of work.
Cons
Several reorganizations a year. Top management disconnected from those at lower levels. No new products being released. Quest purchased Focus to buy their tests and new products have slowed to almost nothing. Many good hardworking employees have been hired and leave quickly once they see the culture. This used to be a great company and was a "Top 10 Midsize Company in the OC". Now it is the opposite.

A company with potential for growth
Mar 31, 2013 - Anonymous Employee in Cypress, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good location for people who live around the central part of Southern California, competitive benefits, salaries are not great but are still somewhat comparable, employees are generally friendly
Cons
Uncertainty of job stability at times due to various reasons that include, but are not limited to restructuring of organization by mother company, Quest Diagnostics, silos between depts, lack of interaction between people of different depts for certain people based on their positions, and lack of company-wide activities compared to before.

This company is an absolute mess and its getting worse!
Jun 30, 2016 -RecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Good experience. Good starting pay. Hours somewhat flexible. Nice big parking lot and building. Facility seems neat and clean.
Cons
It's just awful being here. The company morale is down after the Diasorin buyout, but I'll add a list of what is happening now. High turnover. Low raises. and I mean LOW. Very hard to get promoted even if you work hard. Backorders are piled up and nobody cares to get to the bottom of the root cause. Being lazy is okay here. Some days are impossible to do the job without the right equipment. ZERO communication between upstairs management and downstairs technicians.

Felt like high school...
Oct 16, 2015 - Production Technician in Cypress, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Well-organized, well-maintained facility. Multiple break rooms. Plentiful parking. Health-conscientious environment with regularly scheduled, voluntary employee workout sessions. Nothing else to really praise them for...
Cons
Work consists of long hours of mundane, repetitive tasks that left my hands blistered and bleeding Insincere, back-stabbing co-workers who judge and bully those who don't fit into their social groups Temps are seen as disposable, replaceable Management will smile through their teeth at you and discuss your future at the company while plotting with others for your termination
- Current Employee, more than 10 years★★★★★
Pros
Great people, easy parking, flexible schedules. Now under new management since DiaSorin purchased Focus Diagnostics from Quest. Free on-site exercise class after work, Tues-Thurs.
Cons
Insurance benefits are not as great as they used to be, but that's not isolated to this company.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Many very dedicated people who are good to work with
Cons
Some of the previous management was dysfunctional

Quality Associate
Aug 4, 2016 - Quality Associate in San Juan Capistrano, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Make your own schedule within reason. Great entry level job if you have no experience. Commutable from North SD County Orange County and Riverside County.
Cons
Like high school. Managers claim your incompetent when their incompetent themselves. Lots of backstabbing by other associates. No room for growth. Hire temps and get rid of most of them within a few months.
