I worked at For Eyes full-time

    Pros

There are none, it's the worst company I've ever worked for.

    Cons

Management is terrible, they don't know what they're doing. Constant layoffs due to poor performance stores. They trick candidates by preaching their growth goals but they fail to mention the number of stores they're closing due to low performance. You're expected to work on weekends and holidays for the most insignificant tasks due to their lack of competence. Non existent CEO, who is on another location and has no idea or does he care what is going on in HQ offices.

    Advice to Management

None there's no hope. I expect this company to eventually fizzle out.

I worked at For Eyes full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company has a lot of problems, therefore a lot of opportunities to try fixing things and learn. Company has resources to invest in systems and solutions. Nice office space.

    Cons

A lot of pressure. Terrible management from GV. Terrible benefits. Very unstable. Very disorganized. No communication between departments. Depressing to work there because people are not motivated. Everyone is frustrated. Four CEOs in a couple of years. Constant change of direction. No clear strategy. People are constantly putting out fires, no one can work with a plan. Constant change of employees so processes are dropped and never resumed. Customers end up being the ones suffering a lot of the changes. Many projects never see light because there’s a change in management. No continuation or completion of projects. Silent layoffs. Top management announced that there will be no more layoffs and the same person was let go the same day.

    Advice to Management

Motivating employees takes more than painting walls and putting motivational messages around the offices. You need to address issues with honesty so employees feel sympathetic and want to work towards the same goal.

    Pros

You get a free pair of glasses and eye exam each year

    Cons

Management is terrible. I worked there for 3 months and 6 employees either quit or were fired. It's a revolving door of people who hate each other. I wouldn't even buy my glasses here. I honestly think the Burlington store is going to shut down soon

    Advice to Management

Quit and sell the company to someone competent

    Pros

There are no pros it’s all bad

    Cons

Incompetent management, no work life balance it’s run like a Hialeah factory. They don’t know what they’re doing. Hiring and firing people. It’s a revolving door. Misleading candidates during interview with lies. A company that has been in a consistent decline for years. No positive outlook.

    Advice to Management

Get your act together you need to get rid of some of your incompetent management. Stop misleading candidates with big growth lies when there is no growth but a decline . Stop preaching work life balance when there is none.

    Pros

flexible hours, reasonable commission and base compensation.
tuition and training programs for optician certification,

    Cons

there's a clear focus on making sales over helping a patient see. too many times do I find myself grossly overselling a patient to meet sales targets that seem ever out of reach due to ludicrous sales. said sales force an associate to resort to used car salesmen tactics that in my opinion are befitting of an optical enviroment .

    Pros

A lot of customers will make your day. It will be a pleasure to serve them.

    Cons

No accountability. Management doesn’t know what they’re doing. Constant hiring and firing of employees and corporates. Pay is horrible and unrealistic to live on.

    Advice to Management

Hire within the company. Give realistic raises not $.10 after 2 years of being there.
