Mainly specific to my personal goals/preferences: generalist mandate doesn’t leave much room for junior team members to specialize, long-term focus on a smaller client set results in fewer opportunities to learn about new companies/business models, lower junior headcount relative to other boutiques results in smaller professional network
Small firm feel. Highly supportive Associates provide chance for Analysts to take on higher roles. Lean deal teams further increase scope of responsibility.
Cons
Noticeable lack of brand name impedes deal-making. The firm lacks a constant flow and is struggling to find its real focus within the Investment Banking space.
