    Pros

In times of economic depression government contracted companies often keep cash flow enough to maintain head count. Opportunity for the occasional office party with alcohol.

    Cons

Bad management, bad policies, bad culture, poor training, management would have temper tantrums weekly....the stress levels were worthy law suit.

    Advice to Management

Retire before you loose all the respect you worked for during your career. There's nothing worse than hanging on too long.

Great work environment - passionate coworkers all working toward the same mission

    Cons

Sometimes difficult to balance the workload

I worked at Functional Training Service full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Working to help others achieve their vocational goal was awesome!

    Cons

Supervisory staff is manipulative, disingenuous, and emotionally abusive. Immediate supervisor is/was an alcoholic...came to work reeking of alcohol w/ blood shot eyes daily. Verbal abuse from supervisor staff became the norm. Level of manipulation is unreal...my biggest mistake was taking others at their word...they constantly brought up that "we are a family"...in an attempt to further manipulate...my requests to speak to HR to discuss my concerns were consistently ignored...
If you work here, know that one does not have to be good at their job to be considered a good employee, rather one has to be complacent in such a poisonous environment and reconcile in themselves that being treated less than is worth the measly paycheck. Expect to be manipulated and abused in the process as there is a HUGE conflict of interest in HR department.

    Advice to Management

There is a reason employee turnover is so high...

I have been working at Functional Training Service full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is chance to be of service to those in need of employment.

    Cons

This company is only interested in making money. They smile in the cliient's faces and talk about how stupid and uneducated they are behind their backs. Owned by two females one is definitely an alcoholic. She has a very bad temper and has unrealistic expections of her employees.

    Advice to Management

Anger management would help. Being more in tune with your employees and what they go through would help. Also AA is needed.

    Pros

    Occasional office party with alcohol.

    Cons

This company has some major issues. From being unprofessional to lack of respect for clients and staff. It's pretty much a given one of the owners is an alcoholic so staff has to deal with her constant hangovers or when she's going through withdrawalsI agree with the other review...the stress levels and constant badgering is lawsuit worthy!

    Advice to Management

You should be ashamed of yourself!!!
