Pros
Great people & work environment Nice modern office in walkable midtown Good opportunities if you are smart and don't mind speaking up Only place in Atlanta to work on this kind of tech at this level
Cons
Not enough internal training Travel is to cities like Houston and many boring smaller cities. Sometimes can feel like bigger enterprise since software is for large enterprises
Advice to Management
Keep promoting from within, but also hire new blood to bring in outside perspectives.

Pros
Great location at the heart of Midtown
Cons
No vision. Senior managment is not visonary and they try to command and control It a sweatshop Managemeny hires inexperienced college graduated to pay them low and have them work long hours We cant look for a job as we need to give two week advancr notice to get two hours vacation HR is so noisy and you need to explain why you want to take a time off. Lots of clicks High employee turnover Lots of gossips and... HR tries to elicit rummors from employees Lots of yelling As employees are leaving, managment passed a circular that employers have to give two week in advance vacation request. One cant even take a half day off as management didnt want employees to look for a job and go for interview. If you make two or three call sick, they think that you are looking for a job and they will show you the door Many people are leaving the company Geofields's sister company Routematch has inherent problems Salary is very low from the industry standard They expect you to work 14 hours a day for seven days Missing many software releases due to lack of leadership.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at GeoFields full-time
Pros
- stays current on technology - great office location - a few really good people
Cons
- does not understand the market they are trying to solution - contentious environment that has spiraled for years due to a few key players - revolving door of talent, those that stay are far to comfortable
Advice to Management
- let others learn the market you are attempting to solution - stop the yelling/gossip/diminishing of employees and address the problems - manage your managers, as they are self serving - let the problem managers go, it is obvious who they are - institute a path to a work life balance and remote talent - scrutinize talent, efficiency and leadership above remaining PTO hours!

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo opinion of CEOI have been working at GeoFields full-time
Pros
Nice office location (Midtown) Oil and gas industry clients (one of the more stable industries in the current economy)
Cons
Lots of yelling Lack of teamwork Finger pointing instead of constructive solutions when problems arise Poor employee morale Lack of flexibility with regard to work schedules Failure to meet critical deadlines Departments do not work well together despite being a smaller company
Advice to Management
Geofields is very different from other companies in the industry with its command and control structure. Many similar companies foster a work-life balance and allow flexibility as workload ebbs and flows. Start trusting in your employees more and quit using fear-based tactics to motivate them. Encourage teamwork and hold employees accountable that aren't team players.

Pros
GeoFields strives to be the best in our field by hiring the brightest, aggressive, most personable employees who aim for the highest quality work day in and day out. The office space is open and inviting and the people are truly a delight to work with. Dialogue is encouraged among departments and management listens to any concerns one might have. If one is looking to get a foothold into the GIS Pipeline industry,... come give GeoFields a look.

Traffic in Midtown Atlanta can be a headache, but GeoFields is conveniently located next to MARTA, Atlanta's rapid transit system. Many employees have found this to be a benefit and alternative solution to Atlanta's traffic issues.

Pros
As a GIS professional, the work here continually keeps me challenged. I have found there is definitely room to work your way up the ladder if you have the desire and are willing to put in some extra effort. This is a good place to start a career, or shift a career into the Pipeline GIS industry.
Cons
Sometimes rush hour traffic is bad in mid-town, but its do-able.
Advice to Management
More time or financial support for professional trainings.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookI worked at GeoFields full-time
Pros
Great Location in Midtown. If you like to work by yourself then this is the place for you.
Cons
This place is a sweatshop. The upper management acts like they are slave drivers. Had a horrible luncheon where the workers ate and upper management watched us eat like we are animals then had to go around and say why we liked our job. Also folks like to yell there and if you mess up once then you are labeled as a useless worker and when the time comes they will show you the door. They expect you to work long hours... and judge you if you don't. They expect you to work 50 plus hours a week at the minimum.

None because unless you are in their club it doesn't matter.

RecommendsPositive OutlookI have been working at GeoFields full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Opportunities to rise through organization if top performer Very professional Sales and Marketing team with tons of market knowledge (more so than competitors) Flexible small company environment Very nice, modern office Location in nicest area in city Get to work with some really great technologists
Cons
The company is experiencing some growing pains with some past turnover being a problem but isn't the case anymore. Need to grow the training department to raise the level of new employees.
Advice to Management
Conitinue to recognize high performers and motivate average employees to become high performers. Add more training to newer employees so they won't leave before they understand the business.
