Pros
They have their own soil testing laboratory for both geotechnical and material testing. You can spend time in the laboratory and learn about all geotechnical laboratory testing. The project engineers are very knowledgeable and experienced, as a staff engineer there is a lot that can be learned from them. If you show interest in learning something specific, they will work with you to make it happen. The office environment is very friendly and informal. Conversations and meetings with the higher engineers are casual and very approachable.

Nice people, maybe? Didn’t stay long enough to know.
Cons
The department manager hired me because he felt he needed more help, but the owners didn’t actually want another employee. From the moment I started there my job was a point of tension between them, and they made sure I felt it. I ended up quitting quickly just because I was tired of being treated like crap when I did nothing wrong.
