I have been working at Global lt full-time

    Pros

Global LT has a decent benefits package and flexible work schedule including remote work for most employees. There are company-wide parties throughout the year and they often even have happy hour at the end of the day. Employees can bring dogs (and sometimes cats) into the office every Friday.

    Cons

There is frequent employee turnover. Most of the employees have only been with the company for a year or two, so there aren't many senior staffers. Training is lacking and differs for each team, so people seem to do things in multiple different ways. Many employees conduct themselves in an unprofessional manner, speaking loudly about inappropriate topics and management does nothing to correct this behavior. People openly complain about the company, their jobs, and consultants we work with. The database the company runs on is slow and makes it difficult to complete daily tasks. This is a constant cause of frustration for employees. There is a general lack of communication between upper management and operations as well as between each of the departments. Finally, most people are exhausted by the workload. As most work is time-sensitive or high-touch with clients, it often requires putting in long hours.

    Advice to Management

Professionalism needs to be key! Bad-mouthing consultants/teachers cannot be tolerated. Even if we are within the building an air of professionalism should reign above all. It's a rather relaxed atmosphere that ultimately does not suit everyone who need to get work done.

I have been working at Global lt full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

work from home. Smart and diverse co-workers. bring your pet in days.

    Cons

corporate greed since the change in ownership. They are not staying in their lane, trying hard to be something they are not. If you do not drink the kool-aid you have a target on your back. upper management is completely clueless. The company changes direction quickly if they do not get quick results and this creates a lot of chaos. for some reason there is a terrible feeling of desperation in the air. They tend to put unqualified people into position for which they are not qualified. this is not for the purpose of training it is for the reason that they do not want to pay for qualified quality talent.

    Advice to Management

none you are too self centered to listen you only seem to like the sound of your own voice.

I worked at Global lt full-time

    Pros

    Great Benefits
Solid director of sales, IT and hr; they were much needed additions and seemingly care very much about employees from the bottom up
Employees are friendly and open minded
    Culture is diverse and accepting
Working from home is available to employees who earn it

    Cons

Employees earn 10-20k less than market value,

training is disorganized and severely lacking, processes lack uniformity

    There's no coaching. No feedback.

Employees below upper management are blamed for low revenue but aren't given appropriate guidance or workloads to be successful.

Communication comes from upper management far after it's already been spread by word of mouth.

    Advice to Management

Employees leave managers, not companies. Look at turnover rate. It's very high. All the negative reviews mention one major issue- poor upper management.

Do something to improve upper management or rid the company of toxic managers and hire on managers with the skill sets needed to move the company forward and improve company morale.

There are many talented individuals at this company; recognize them and pay them their worth or they'll seek an employer who can.

I worked at Global lt (More than a year)

    Pros

laid back atmosphere, good coworkers, and benefits.

    Good Sales Manager
    Solid CFO

    Cons

Poor leadership starting with CEO, COO
First job I have worked at where higher management works less hours than their employees.
technology is too slow to handle day to day tasks.

    Advice to Management

You have employees that have been there for years that actually work hard only to be taken advantage of. These employees deserve something MEANINGFUL ( a real raise, not .50 cents)

    Pros

Direct Deposit, ability to order books & other materials.

    Cons

Form-letter emails about whether there's been first contact with a new student, etc. They also changed from you usually working with one coordinator to multiple coordinators--meaning you may be dealing with two or more if you have several students.

    Advice to Management

Go back to previous system of one coordinator!

    Pros

    Able to work from home

    Cons

No room for advancement, below average salary, poor communication from management, overall negative work environment- lots of people complaining and overwhelmed.

    Advice to Management

Open the lines of communication, learn to speak directly to employees, give explanation as to why you're adding on to people's workloads instead of expecting them to do more and more work without proper compensation and not so much a thank you.

I have been working at Global lt part-time

    Pros

This has been the best job I've had in years. I really enjoy working with my students. It doesn't feel like a job because my students are so awesome.

    Cons

Some students frequently cancel their lessons because life gets in the way. Because of that fact, my paycheck tends to fluctuate.
