I worked at HEPACO full-time for less than a year

    Pros

-Meeting skilled individuals searching to build careers -extensive computer skills (you will know plenty when you leave w/ majority of the willing help from your team members)

    Cons

This place is a headache. Long hours. Phones may have to be answered up until your departure, which no break is given throughout your 12 hour shift. You are still required to work after 12 hours if work is present for you to complete. Management talks behind your back daily, instead of helping. You are hired, trained for about 2-3 weeks, given the shared tools you need on most days & left to fend for yourself... or team w/ co-workers who are just as busy as you. The amount of individuals leaving is a revolving door because they see the imminent danger/shortcomings of the work environment and not to mention the effects it tapers on their personal lives. Not many employees are present there over a year and if they are, they are favored or in management.

    Advice to Management

Management should actively investigate and take into consideration every con or primary complaint you hear to elevate and level up your company (i.e. turnover rate , toxicity of management, long hours, pay range, new employee supports

    I worked at HEPACO full-time

    Pros

Interesting work, the coworkers that have been there awhile are great (but there's not too many left)

    Cons

Upper Management/Officers know nothing about the business of environmental cleanup. They care only about making money, nothing about the people that actually do the work to make that happen. Zero diversity at the top.

I worked at HEPACO full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Definitely a great job to have going in to an environmental field with tons of field work activity as well as office/administration duties and responsibilities. Highly suggest for those who like working with their hands, have great writing skills and no hesitation with working under pressure. You'll definitely feel the challenge but it's enjoyable for someone who is going in to the waste disposal industry.

    Cons

Traveling can be time consuming but that's where you receive most of your experience. You do receive per diem and they do pay for your hotel expenses. Again, slight pressure in keeping up with disposal and report writing but it's great for growth development in a field that is challenging.

    Advice to Management

    Management knows.

I have been working at HEPACO full-time for less than a year

    Pros

HEPACO's business is growing and the company is making investments in people and equipment to support that growth. Co-workers who care about clients, each other and doing the right thing.

    Cons

Trailing, but investing in, technology. Nature of emergency response work hours may not be for everybody.

I worked at HEPACO full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Some management that I interfaced with genuinely seems to care about safety and it employees.

    Cons

It appears that the overall corporate direction lacks the understanding on expansion and fair treatment of employees. Pay is below average and working conditions is extremely poor. There is NO solid direction and I would advise not applying.

    Advice to Management

Focus on being fair to ALL employees; don't shape unfounded decisions until you have checked ones history and credentials; and try setting a superb example. Treats, demoralizing talk to employees and allowing foul language only stems from managements lack of personal self-worth and experience.
