    I worked at HSO full-time

    Pros

Nice people and good camaraderie between non-senior management staff. Would work welk as a first springboard into the B2B internet business.

    Cons

Feels kind of stagnant, like the company isn't going anywhere. Management does not seem that interested in the employees, more interested in getting the profits to a point where they can cash out.

I have been working at HSO full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Intensive 7 week training course in The Netherlands Competitive pay rates, expenses and bonus scheme Excellent support network Approachable senior management Opportunities for growth and progression Regular company updates and nights out Good work/life balance

    Cons

Lack of structure after the training course - although this is being addressed Lots of travel and nights away from home when on a project Work/life balance can take a temporary hit around project go live - work days can be very long Working remotely can often mean missing out on some of the benefits afforded to office workers

    Advice to Management

Do not underestimate the importance of working conditions for consultants on projects long term, the improvements in this area are encouraging and should continue.

I have been working at HSO full-time

    Pros

Treated very well by all staff and customers so far! Was sent on a 6 week intensive training program in Holland, learning the basics of the software and consulting skills. Thrown straight onto a project with a good support network as a backup.

    Cons

Customer end users are rarely made aware of associate consults abilities and they can expect a high level of knowledge with only a few weeks of experience. However, customer management are informed of our ability.

    Advice to Management

Review the Master Class schedule to avoid repetition.

I have been working at HSO full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people, they invested in me from the start by sending me to live in the Netherlands for 8 weeks to learn about the company and personally develop (fully expensed). They consistently invest in training for employees and help pass exams which looks great for your CV and great for HSO also. Great way to travel the country and meet a variety of personalities in different companies/industries. Also, when not on site...

    Cons

Potentially can be working at home for 4 days a week on occasion. But this is rare and on average I have probably worked away 2-3 days a week since joining.

I have been working at HSO full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Competitive salary and benefits - Job security - Gain sought after consultancy/software skills through training and project work - Job satisfaction; challenging work through which you can make a real positive change to client businesses - Relatively flat management structure - Regular company-wide meetings - Friendly/welcoming and helpful colleagues

    Cons

    - Work/life balance; Can be a lot of travelling and working away. Typical week would normally be Mon + Fri working from home, then Tues - Thurs working on customer site. This can vary, with some (rare) occasions where you're needed on site Mon-Fri and some weeks where you may be at home all week. For me, the travelling and staying away isn't much of an issue itself, however it has meant that I no longer have the time...
