When the previous CEO was removed and a new one hired there was hope for real change at IFPI. There have been some tweaks but overall the organisation remains deeply. perhaps irrecoverably, dysfunctional. Nearly every department operates as it did under previous leadership and that is not a positive thing. Accountability is nonexistent, departmental management is amateurish, and the only concern is maintaining employment, not results. The member companies have seen clear evidence of this for years but do not ask the hard questions or demand improvement. One wonders, does IFPI serve any purpose?
