Big Mistake

Pros

Cool technology, good base salary

Cons

No work life balance, toxic work environment, fear tactics, sink or swim culture, passively threaten your job, constantly on the go, not a family oriented culture in the slightest. They hire so many TMs to one area it is a bloodbath and survival of the fittest, and they do not invest in employees. If you’re hired as a TM, you are just in a trial position...it is not a guaranteed role.

Pros

Med sales position without any prior medical experience

Cons

I was terminated for not working on Easter Sunday. My boss had sent my an email that morning that I didn't see until that night. The email had a list of his work that he needed me to do before Monday morning. ZERO on-boarding or training. I spent over four hours of my first day in my ASMs car, cold-calling from a spreadsheet, while he would walk into doctor's offices. I was not given a script, or told how to speak with the people I was calling, or even a general overview about what we were selling. My only training came from reviewing the products on the company website. Needless to say, the gatekeepers were not impressed and getting a meeting was next to impossible. During that same first day, I was in the car when my manager took a call from his boss. The call was on speaker and I overheard a conversation regarding another Territory Manager and the possibility of firing him. That TM had come over to InMode with my two bosses from another company only a few months prior. My offer letter contained no quota or commission plan. When I asked about this, I was given three separate answers about what I could expect for my commission. My two bosses would often talk about their religion and how it applies to my life. On the topic of my former bosses - these were two people who have absolutely no skills when it comes to managing people. I believe they are both decent salespeople, but they are completely inept when it comes to leading and providing guidance and support. The list could go on and on. I was only there a week and it was the worst working experience that I, or anyone I've spoken to about it, has ever heard of.

Awful company

Pros

Will hire with no medical experience

Cons

This is the worst company I’ve ever worked for. For starters, there is no formal training. You are given power points and sales scripts to study from. You’ll do 3 or so sales calls with your manager and then you’re on your own! You set endless meetings and are expected to sell 75k devices you know almost nothing about. The pitch is deceitful and so are the products. They overpromise and underdeliver. The picture is painted that these doctors can make a ton of money off their devices and the reality is most will fail. Not only do they convince doctors they will make a ton of $$, but that you will too. It’s all a lie. Once they burn you out, they fire you. You are without a doubt disposable. Majority of territory managers don’t make it past the 6 month mark. On top of all of this the company is unethical from the top down. It is run on fear and if you don’t do as they say, they will get rid of you.
