I worked at Indesit full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Lots of room for progression. A million different job roles available for those who like to move about.

    Cons

After 11 years I felt like the company were riding off their household name too much and weren't willing to innovate and compete in the market.

    Advice to Management

Look at your competition and don't be afraid to do something different. Consumers need innovation and something that will add value to their lives. Employees need to know you'll invest.

I worked at Indesit (More than a year)

    Pros

Comfort working place. You have possibility for development as a professional. There is no some unbelievable pressure from top management side, just do your job with KPIs fulfilment using your knowledge and available tools. On your position you fully responsible for result you do, which means You guide how to reach it.

    Cons

Should be more closer collaboration between departments for support sales and not vice versa.

    Advice to Management

Provide clear vertical motivation scheme with common main KPIs for all departments to make more effective collaboration between people in the company for reaching goals on the market.

I have been working at Indesit full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working from home, nothing else. Monday to Friday, no bank holidays, average pay, own van (but the back is full of parts so you cannot even use it for anything), forget it if you have a family.

    Cons

Long hours, no lunch break, no break at all.

If you try to highlight any issue about the way they are managing your work, instead of listening to you and help you they just put someone on your neck to check how you work.

You have to carry an ancient laptop in a case weight at least 15kg + backpack full of tools 20kg + parts. Running up and down in a block of flats, running to avoid the parking fines.

You have to restart your laptop every 20 mins to see if they changed something on your route or you might find out when you get to the job that it is already cancelled.

Planning has no communication at all, also they close their office twice a day, so it is very difficult to "plan" anything with them.

You have to manage your own stock, visiting the storage twice a week, NOT in working hours of course!!

If you have any issue with your van and it needs 3-4 hours to get it fixed, it is NOT happening in your working hours, after you sorted out you have to start your shift with 3-4 hours late.

What they tell you on the recruitment day is a big fat lie! Also in the training centre!

Your shift does not end when you park your van at your house at the end of the day....

    Advice to Management

Try to listen to your employees, not handling them that they are some kind of an idiots and stop lying. Try to train your office staff including customer service not to tell lie to the customers.

I have been working at Indesit part-time

    Pros

Great training, staff are briliant, team leaders great . Good pay,

    Cons

Bad customer service, you can not take ownership of a problem or customer , but its the same with all big call centres. No room for movement up the ladder. If your face fits your ok.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff more, they have some very good ideas.

I worked at Indesit full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Large company with many employees who have been there for donkey's years. A good place to work if you want to hide in the masses and work a 9 to 5 routine, and good for work/life balance.

    Cons

Chaotic, middle aged, lacking in energy. Stuck in it's ways and certainly not open to change management of any kind.

Obstructive work force, who have been with the company for far too long, are in senior positions for which they are neither qualified or suitable, or are just 'my face fits' expats from head office.

    Advice to Management

If you are moving people around within your limited talent pool, please invest in some adequate training.

Clear our the dead wood or your business will be adversely impacted by there unwillingness to move on from 1990.
