    Pros

Very helpful and smart employees who want to help you learn. Open door policy with nearly everyone so it's a great learning experience

    Cons

As an intern you do not have much involvement with the day to day working of the company and it can be boring.

    Advice to Management

I think an intern would have a more valuable experience if they were more involved with the day to day of the company.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Insight Investment full-time

    Pros

The company is growing, so there should be adequate opportunity, Management does seek honest feedback and sincerely wants to improve and grow the company

    Cons

Some people have poor attitudes, which can weigh on overall morale. But most people are good to be with. Pay a little on the low side

I worked at Insight Investment full-time

    Pros

Excellent leadership. Expectations are high, but management is fair and even younger employees are involved and well-trained. A lot of opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

Initial pay is quite below market. Can be slightly slow moving at times, natural consequence of being part of a very large asset management business.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Employees have a great deal of faith in leadership, generally speaking. Communication with juniors could be somewhat better, but overall good.

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Work hours at Pareto Partners are relatively flexible. The company allows for a good work/life balance. Most employees are nice

    Cons

-Senior management is already checking out, does not seem to care
-Bad managers go unchecked,, can wreak havoc in the absence of management oversight
    -Low bonuses, low/no raises
    -Noncompetitive pay

    Advice to Management

Don't abandon your responsibilities before the game is over. Is you want to have any kind of legacy, raise pay to closer to industry standards so you can get in some talent

I have been working at Insight Investment full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Insight operates on quite a flat structure, so there are no star employees, everything is team based which works very well. Truly innovative, client focused company, so everything is about the client and how best to service them, invent ways to provide a better or more efficient service.

Great relationship with BNY which means you feel part of a smaller dynamic company whilst at the same time the comfort of being in a larger very stable entity.

Staff are generally very friendly and clearly top quality. Seems to be very little politics. Company is growing and people have clear career opportunities so everyone tends to be on the same page.

    Cons

Benefits are a little sub par, lots of choices available but you pay for them yourself from gross salary. Pension contribution is poor.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

    Pros

A fast growing business which makes you feel to be part of a success story.

A professional and friendly environment where everyone has an open door.

    Cons

The structure of departments seems a bit flat and it's not easy to progress through the ranks.

    Advice to Management

Think of broader career opportunities for staff.

I have been working at Insight Investment full-time

    Pros

    - minimal bureaucracy
    - forward thinking executive management
    - nice location (st Pauls)
    - excellent cultural values that are reinforced regularly
    - can challenge without fear of retribution
    - regular opportunities to get involved with social, and charitable activities

    Cons

    - investment in technology, faster VDI's would be great.
    - pace can be a bit overwhelming for those not used to it
    - streamlining processes, using collaboration tools would definitely help

    Advice to Management

Thank you for making our working environment a pleasant one. We appreciate the effort that is being made in growing our business. In the short time I have been here I see the 'pinch' that teams feel for the amount of work on, but I'm convinced that as the business grows so will the resources and opportunities.

I have been working at Insight Investment full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great place to work. You really feel like you can be a master of your own destiny at Insight. There is plenty of opportunity to expand your remit, progress your career and get involved with different projects or work streams. Fast paced and exuberant culture. Strong leadership and open door policy. Senior management are very approachable and encouraging. The business has been growing year-on-year so it is an exciting company to be a part of, you really feel like you can add value at an individual and team level.

    Cons

The workload can be challenging and it is a fast paced environment so you need to be willing to work hard and juggle multiple things.

    Pros

Strong workforce all driven, receptive to change in the industry, robust growth in fixed income and liability driven investments

    Cons

Compensation is very focussed on variable, still somewhat stuck in old cultural thinking on larger projects and infrastructure a little dated
