Pros
There are lots of good things: - The people are fantastic. The staff all know and actually care about each other, and the founders are very high quality human beings who create and perpetuate the best work environment and workplace culture I've ever had the pleasure of being part of. - Positive change is openly embraced and encouraged. - We're heavily results-oriented. - Our engineering group is maturing significantly in terms of focus, mind set, development practices, process and delivery. Continuous improvement is very real here. - Older technology is being thoroughly modernized in terms of the product itself, its architecture and how it is developed, tested, hosted, deployed and monitored. - Product Management is excellent. - Engineering and Product Management have a very real partnership. There is no "us vs them" in the relationship. They work well together to make sure we build the right things in a sustainable way and they both encourage and enable a "quality first" approach to product development and delivery. - We're growing quickly. - The company cares about and invests in its people. Flexible working hours and a family-oriented environment result in a good work/life balance without sacrificing results. Everyone has access to training and learning resources. Healthy snacks are provided. I believe people feel valued. I know I do. - Things move fast, but in a coordinated and sustainable way that gets results. Nobody ever says "that's not my job". - Everyone has modern hardware and whatever tools they need to get their job done well. - Amazing new office space that is full of natural light and feels healthy. Adjustable standing desks for everyone.
Cons
Any small company that grows rapidly experiences growing pains, and the same is true for Invisor, but problems here are relatively minor, mostly painless and generally short-lived because there's an awesome sense of family and collective ownership that results in people from all parts of the company working well together to fix anything that gets in the way.
