Pros

Flexible schedule. You build relationships with the people you work with. Maybe, you'll be lucky and work with a great manager, but those are hard to come by because they promote just about anybody.

Cons

"Inspire and simplify healthy living" and make a profit by doing so. Corporate doesn't care about the well being of their employees. All they want to do is make more money. They will never pay you enough for the mental and physical stress you go through every day. Customers are brutal because they expect a perfect smoothie/juice the second after they order it (which is impossible because it doesn't just come out of thin air), and they are spoiled. They tighten labor so much that you never have time to properly train, learn, or complete tasks. Therefore, you have managers that can't discipline and employees that don't care. Food safety is brushed off like it's no big deal (yes, most stores have employees who don't wash their hands, don't check food temperatures, eat in the kitchen, use expired fruit and vegetables, and sell expired food).Unnecessary policy and standards are placed and strictly reinforced. You are expected to be fast, be friendly, sell a certain number of juices, bowls, and cold pressed juices, inform every customer about Jamba insider, engage with every customer, sample every second of the day, accomplish all tasks from a large daily checklist, and smile while being extremely short staffed, undertrained, and being payed minimum wage.

Pros

-Good company to get training in and its easy to move up if you are a hard worker Being a GM in Jamba: -creating your own schedule -shaping your team to your style -creating a great place for young people to learn and grow

Cons

-Company Focuses can change frequently -senior leaders can become disconnected with the happenings, needs, and learnings at the field level -Training program at the team member level needs to be revamped (however I believe there is a plan to do so)

Pros

I loved the fast paced work environment with strong upward mobility. The strong emphasis on improving the culture energized me. Jamba Juice is constantly trying to balance strong sales results with the youthful energy as displayed in their 2007 SNL skit. Amazing talent seen from entry level to upper management.

Cons

Profit strongly driven by weather. Reactive vs proactive sales initiatives. Inconsistent employee yearly review process (there was no review process for 2014)
