I have been working at Jean Machine full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Family atmosphere, great training, great people and higher management, very friendly team members

    Cons

Long hours but only if you require and if you need and perform. Manager holds you accountable sometimes to the extreme

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing and motivate your people to get the best out of them. Regional manager is very strict but she's very nice person to talk to if you have a problem. Sometimes she's more available than my store manager

    Pros

-Their turnover rate is horrible, which is good if you're in need of a job, because they're always hiring.
-The sales staff and store managers are friendly.
-Management will treat you to coffee or pizza when performance is good.

    Cons

-They hire staff who cannot handle the store on their own, and in turn store management cannot go for breaks.
-Working slam shifts pay a lot, but you are mentally drained with few to no breaks.
-Management will scrutinize sales staff for every little detail.
-Upper management micro manages the store when they are away, with constant harassing phone calls, emails.....
-When you are full time, expect no days off, due to their horrible turnover rate, you are always on call as a key holder, assistant manager or store manager.
-They have a counter at the front of the store, even if the store has no customers, it counts the employees entering and exiting the store, and expect you to make sales to visibly nobody.
    - Management is such a tight knit group, there is no virtual way to move up within the company. Your ultimate goal is to be a store manager.
-The owner instills fear into his management which then take out their stresses down onto the store employees who are essentially paid minimum wage to deal with abuse.
    - They do not truthfully care about their employees, they breach every aspect of Health & Safety, Work Conditions, The Labour Act.

    Advice to Management

You cannot instill fear and belittle your employees. We are getting paid minimum wage to allow you guys to become rich. Upper level management does not know how to do our jobs, therefor they should not tell us how to do our jobs. We work like slaves for little pay, and your sales system doesn't work. Every person has individual sales techniques, yes it may work for some people, but not for everyone. You need to restrategize your whole company. "Sales" aren't the most important thing when running a company. When you mentally abuse your employees, you cannot expect them to have better performance. Overall, whenever I apply for another job, they see where I worked and INSTANTLY pity me. Do reviews of your company and see the truth. One day you will have a Law Suit.

I worked at Jean Machine full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-nice jeans (learned a few things about it) and discount
-fortunate to have worked with nice people and sell to some nice customers

    Cons

-high employee turnover for part-times/ full-times
    -benefits is meh
-extremely low wages for full-timers, especially management levels
-at least 2 to 3 open to close shifts every week which really mentally drains you
-district manager is not nice to their employees, you get barely any respect, only if you sell like crazy. the thing is they expect you to sell for every person that comes in which is not possible

    Advice to Management

-respect your employees, find faster coverage if managers/ assistant managers quit
-if this company wants to be profitable, they're going to have to rethink their business strategy
