Highly unprofessional comments constantly made by the higher ups like especially HR, CEO and director. They constantly cuss in public areas and don’t treat employees with respect. They are also incredibly frugal asking employees to work in the dark and save money on electricity which was a first for me. No accommodation for religious/dietary needs when they do holiday parties or for new moms. Not an encouraging environment to be in. Extremely political.

There are so many cons... First the CEO, he may be very talented and great at what he does, but the constant yelling and demeaning of the staff is embarrassing and over the line. Maybe one of the reasons he is always yelling about people not hitting their numbers is because Katalyst does not see the value in training their staff to do the job they were hired for. They boast an open-door policy for upper management and HR, but that is absolutely not the case. The management of HR loudly and aggressively disciplines staff and their team with their office door wide open for everyone to hear. It is so incredibly inappropriate, and it makes the employees who sit outside that office feel very uncomfortable. They have no respect for the employees and constantly go around to their management friends and tell confidential information. They are probably the biggest rumor perpetuator at the entire company. Not to mention their incessant cursing all throughout the office, and even during their company wide lunch announcements!! All of upper management is one giant clique, where if you are in the inner circle you can basically get away with murder, and there will be no repercussions. There is also so much nepotism at this company it borderlines on incest. They PREFER to hire family members and friends of their current employees over any outside people. This creates so much drama and a serious lack of productivity among the staff; there is a reason most companies don’t do this.
