Pros

The type of work they do here is interesting.

Cons

Low/unfair pay (below minimum wage), they offered 1200$/month then changed it to 1000$/month after I quit due to poor management and distrust in the employer. They will not keep a record of your hours; I had to contact the department of labor and industry to try to get at least minimum wage for the hours I put in, but that didn't work well because they will not give you any written paperwork at keystone or log your hours, which they are required to do by law. They have a poor knowledge of chemistry (their main priority as a testing facility). I was consistently treated poorly by CFO (always talking down on B.S. and M.S. holders because his wife the owner has a PhD in physics, but lacks basic chemistry knowledge, was consistently threatened and intimidated as well). The hiring process is completely arbitrary and fails to effectively hire qualified candidates. They tried to withhold my paycheck claiming that they did not have my mailing address (which was on my resume submitted to them, on my license which they photocopied, was submitted in a message on their website, included in the NDA, and I told them over the phone) which demonstrates their poor management and record keeping. They tried to file a false harrassment police report because I called them asking about it and asked if I could just pick it up and claimed I was threatening them with "extortion" because I informed them I would contact the department of labor and industry if I was not paid what they owed me. I worked under the lab manager who had much less experience in chemistry than a recent chemistry graduate. The job description is also highly inaccurate, because I was forced to act as a janitor and clean the entire building for the owners baby shower, and then had to clean up after the shower. This overall is a VERY shady company and I would not recommend anyone work for them.

Pros

Good coworkers not much else.

Cons

Hard work. Job consisted of driving 3 hours to collect samples 3 days a week then riding back the other 3 then working until the end of the day helping prepare the samples or other various tasks. The other days are spent preparing samples for testing and other tasks around the lab. (Other tasks include but are not limited to.) Cleaning of laboratory (sweeping, vacuuming, trash and recycling) Cleaning labware at the sink with various solvents. Inventory and maintain stocks of supplies in lab.
