    Pros

    Great learning environment, many helpful senior engineers, given meaningful projects, paid well for a mechanical engineering intern, supervisor did not micromanage

    Cons

    Isolated from employee to employee interactions, can get caught checking the clock making the days drag on, few opportunities for entry level full-time employment

    Advice to Management

    Plan projects prior to hiring an intern, create an environment that utilizes teamwork. Overall, management does an excellent job fostering a great working environment.

    That I am no longer with the company.

    Cons

    Benefits were horrible. Management was horrible. In all the company was not for its employees.

    Advice to Management

    Replace management staff in Colorado Springs.

    I worked at Kidde as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great exposure to software concerning inventory. Learned a lot about cycle inventory. Synchronized reports and met with the 3PL to enhance my inventory control skills.

    Cons

    Not much hands on exposure. Did not learn as much as anticipated. Although I did learn quite a bit, most tasks seemed like busy work.

    Advice to Management

    Overall, I had a great experience. Great people and culture. Everyone was friendly and willing to help out in anyway. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity.

    Good pay and decent cultural.

    Cons

    Political and good old boy network. Not very diversified from an ethics perspective in upper management

    Listen to value your employees more.

    VP is awesome. Highly talented and great decision maker.

    It's outside of Raleigh Durham area so limited outside work possibilities.

    friendly, fast paced, time working went quick during work hours

    none that i saw was a great place to would still be there if i didnt have to move back to new york

    Pros

    Friendly Environment, Ethical Behavior and Cash Flow Robustness. Good benefits, especially the scholarship program with 100% of the costs covered by the company.

    Cons

    Lack of Career development and programs to guarantee secure succession. Absence of superior management in personal aspects. Intolerance with home office and flexible work hours.

    Advice to Management

    Establishment of policies to improve work/life balance, such as home office hours. Improvement of HR presence, in order to know your employees desires.
