    Pros

    If you want to work in a company where everyone knows who you are and your work has a direct impact on the company, don't count this place out. You will also definitely make friends here as everyone is very nice and super down to earth.

    Cons

    No matching 401k, possible poor work life balance (depending on the department), and an impending sense of doom due to company financials. Also, wishy washy and contradictory direction from the CEO and COO.

    Advice to Management

    The CFO is clear, precise, effective, and has a true open door policy. That's the sort of clarity that is missing from the other officers. Hopefully, KDS is doing better.

    I worked at Knowledge Delivery Systems full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    While it lasted, the highlight was the camaraderie of the staff--at times it was fun.

    Cons

    Unfortunately, the reviews correctly predicted the demise of KDS. The company had some great employees over the years and others that were lawsuits waiting to happen.

    Advice to Management

    Too late for that!

    I worked at Knowledge Delivery Systems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Some of the people were very nice. The view from the office was great. Besides that I'm pretty hard up to think of any more pros.

    Cons

    the structure there didn't allow for growth and while people were nice they didn't seem very happy. They were very set in their ways.

    Advice to Management

    I didn't feel like I was allowed to be efficient when I was there. You should also be more amenable to people's schedules if their work is not time sensitive.

    Pros

    There are many lovely, hard-working people there. The management strongly believes in education reform and teacher support.

    Cons

    There have been incidents of unprofessional behavior. This hurts morale and is detrimental to teamwork and sense of community.

    Advice to Management

    Give more employees a voice in decision-making. Make sure enough time for quality product development.

    Pros

    New HR Director and other members of management team are working with CEO to better set/align goals. Innovative team building strategies. Cutting-edge PD platform and amazing courses. Tech team is talented and hard-working. New Board and good plan for growth. New influx of capital helping program/product enhancements.

    Cons

    Marketing needs leadership and K12 education is always hard to predict. Senior Leadership working on communicating better with themselves and the field -- but making progress.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what your doing -- actively listen for new ideas and keep pushing the envelope for building innovative products..

    Pros

    location. Amazing set of programs and services. Ahead of the pack in identifying the true needs of teachers and how to train with scale and fidelity. Voices are heard from staff -- management needs work but they acknowledge it.

    Cons

    need a better equity and 401k plan for a growth company. Marketing needs a leader and vision (need a better website and focused message).

    Advice to Management

    continue path of listening to staff. allow team leaders to execute and do their jobs. improve company development (hire, trust and train)

    Pros

    The tech team. Quite honestly, the company doesn't know how to retain employees but, at least the tech team knows how to have a good time.

    Cons

    Upper management. It seems to be routine to say that upper management is an issue, seeing that nearly every review mentions it. Well - after nearly 5 years with the company I can attest to that fact that upper management is a severe problem. There's the clear issue with a revolving door when it comes to losing/hiring employees. They give bonuses out to those that don't deserve them. They hand out poor raises to employees who work harder than anyone else. The CEO claims to have an "open door" if there's any issues - yet, he's hardly ever in the office. The newly hired CFO thinks that since the company is small that they can make snide & snarky comments and get away with it, when really they should try to be a leader and be someone that everyone else looks up to.

    They claim to be a tech company, yet for the 4-5 years I was there they never had a Chief Technical Officer or a IT Director. How a "tech" company can get by without one of those is insane.

    Advice to Management

    Hand in all your resignation letters and let an actual group of hard working, know what they're doing folks come in and handle the job. Clearly, you all don't know what to do to make the company successful.

    Pros

    Easygoing atmosphere, flexible hours, good location.

    Cons

    Extremely poor communication from management, archaic software and e-classroom, close-minded management, terrible air circulation in the office, strange environment where being an individual is frowned upon. Also, mysterious layoffs and people who disappear without giving any notice whatsoever because they are unhappy with the working conditions.

    Advice to Management

    Check references before hiring anyone, be honest and upfront with prospective employees, update your e-classroom, look to the future more instead of the past, and don't rely as much on potential new investors to help the company make ends meet. The company should also pay more attention to things like budgets and fiscal year planning, as well as training. For a company focused on education, they don't seem to know anything about it, or practice what they preach.

    The company has some nice employees to work with.

    Cons

    The Management team only cares about themselves. The leadership team needs to study management.

    Advice to Management

    The regular meetings (called brown bag) is a hypocrisy. The management was saying nice things when in reality it's the opposite.
