    Working one on one with students daily.

    Cons

    We no longer receive bonuses for our evaluation scores, but are still expected to maintain the same standards as when we had the opportunity to earn an extra $2500 a year as a holiday bonus.

    You get to be a teacher and work with students in a field that you are passionate about.

    Cons

    The responsibilities for a teacher never end. In addition to teaching, you must be mental health counselor, lawyer, police, nurse, nutritionist, truancy officer, parent abuse taker, substance abuse counselor and/or narc.
