Pros

- Co-workers working alongside you in the FOH team are incredible, undervalued and lovely people.

Cons

Too many to mention but highlights include: - Forcing FOH staff to come in when unwell or covid positive. - Unable to find shift cover due to constant understaffing or managers unwilling to help. (job advertised as flexible, I think not.) - Nepotism within management is UNREAL. Meaning you are unable to speak to management about everyone knowing your business. - Pay is terrible considering most of the staff are having to "perform" in the interval bar & expected to be in costume yet this is not taken into consideration with pay. - Sexual assault from customers is frequently brushed off and nothing is done about it. Female staff frequently mention the sexist comments made from chef's in the experiences restaurant kitchen and how uncomfortable having to work with them on a daily basis is yet nothing is also done about it. - Staff feel totally and utterly abandoned- yet are expected to remain positive and essentially keep the place running when management are nowhere to be seen. - Management are VERY good at giving false promises to new starting staff about promotions, yet hire outside the team as no-one in their right mind would want to do the position knowing how things truly are. - Management are utterly & totally passive aggressive and have a god complex. (nasty emails regularly sent with threats for things that weren't anything to do with you/ sending staff home during a quiet half hour period when customers are in the show meaning when they exit the experience and we are dreadfully understaffed due to sending people home preemptively) - When previous staff have left to find a better work place environment there has been no word of thanks for their employment. Some had been there for years and never received a single thank you for training staff, working as an unofficial supervisor with no pay raise and going above and beyond their position. - Shifts changed, extended or given to you when you've said you are unavailable that day. Management usually won't fix this you have to beg other FOH staff to cover you even though it was managements mistake. - Already mentioned but many new starters quit after a few weeks. This speaks volumes. Genuinely no job is worth 11.04 PH. - The bar is frequented by the owners of Layered Reality + other random sectors of the company like Marketing who have a jolly good time drinking all night long for free and staff are often forced to wait for them to leave despite there being no other customers in the bar. Upper management don't check in with FoH staff and I think are genuinely unaware + detached of how bad things are OR they really don't care. That's how it is. They've employed all their friends and family in positions of power and now its too late and sadly FoH have to put up with it. Oh which reminds me management frequently drink whilst on shift in the bar. Honestly don't work here, other immersive venues and FoH theatre jobs are far superior in how their staff are treated. You're worth more than Layered Reality.

Pros

None - if I could give 0 stars I would.

Cons

Never been involved with a company that is so incompetantly led. Not to mention I've never worked for anyone with such little regard for human wellbeing. Not valued, no respect, no pastoral care. They're only inerested in what you can give them (extra unpaid hours, no breaks, too much work and stress) and can't even return the favour with basic respect. They treat their employees like disposable rubbish who they can replace in a heartbeat. Finally, my 4 year old daughter has better management skills than general management at gunpowder plot. But that's what happens when you hire your friends and refuse to accept feedback responsibility for their incompetence.
