    Pros

Free Nespresso and a nice introduction to the solutions used by few of the major names in fashion.

    Cons

Lectra's North American management style is a throwback to the industrial-age workplace. The president and a handfull of his disciples are out of touch and using seniority to keep their titles, any qualified new threat to their little kingdom will be quickly replaced. The only reason that the company is still in business is because there is no real competition ..yet.

    Advice to Management

Major update to the new world of business is needed.

    Advice to Management

Make sure your employees are happy.

I have been working at Lectra full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The company is a strong company that invests in the future and trains it's employees as it's technology grows. I have worked with a great group of people who are top notch and always been that way.

    Cons

Challenges aren't negative but rather positive in the regards to being the best at what we do and always having a solution for our customers.

I worked at Lectra full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Customer support and logistics people are smart , dedicated, ambitious employees.

    Cons

Corporate management overall has no apparent respect or appreciation for employee loyalty. Upper management places to much value on its sales team and not enough appreciation for technical support services personnel. Quick to throw field techs to the sharks to cover for mistakes of upper management and corporate N. America & Europe

    Advice to Management

Company would be nothing without customer support department.

I worked at Lectra full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good base, decent benefits, big market share in Europe

    Cons

The french are completely out of touch with the North American market. Arrogant and clueless senior management. Absolutely no idea how to go to market in the US. Autocratic company lead by the CEO, who fancies himself as the CMO, who doesn't have the faintest notion of marketing. Don't ask don't tell policy regarding working in the office. The French expect sales people to be in the office everyday. Company has no clue how large sales organizations work in the era of virtualization.

IT support is terrible. All support comes from France. Incentive comp is a fraud.

    Advice to Management

Adress the needs of the NA market. Get a grip on reality that sales execs work virtually, Don't lie to the interview process about the position

    Pros

A good benefits package and I got to go to France within 3 months of being hired.

    Cons

Doesn't appreciate good employees; All Management tells a lot of lies (all the time), Sr manangement staff do not respect an employee having a personal life after 5:30pm. There is no type of employee morale.

    Advice to Management

Listen to input from employees on all levels. France needs to re-evaluate the managers in all departments. Do something to make employees proud to be on the Lectra team.

    Pros

Opportunity to work with the latest technologies serving the fast paced fashion industry. Also, the atmosphere is very professional and courteous.

    Cons

Home office does not accept realities of some regional markets and chooses to ignore some of the local challenges. Also has become adminstratively heavy

    Advice to Management

Listen to the local markets more carefully and make sure the subsidiaries know they are appreciated and respected for their knowledge and insights.

I have been working at Lectra full-time

    Pros

I enjoy being part of the impressive Lectra North America team. The company has high quality products, a strong balance sheet and a clear strategy. We've performed great and now we have to accelerate our growth. The company is large enough to ensure you have the resources needed to do your job but small enough that your contribution is tangible.

    Cons

Your contribution (or lack there of) is tangible. You will be held accountable for the job you do. You can't hide behind your department's success as you can in a large corporation.

    Advice to Management

Continue to improve internal communications, continue to look for ways to promote top talent, continue to develop strong, forward thinking strategic plans.
