I have been working at Levelset full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - The opportunity to work on a huge and surprisingly interesting problem (construction payment) - The most talented, transparent, and committed leadership that I have ever worked with. - The community is welcoming and very strong. A lot of people hang out together outside work, and there are a lot of examples of people really coming through for each other when life outside the office gets hard (illness, family issues,...

There's no roadmap and it takes a lot of hard work to build a company in a new category.

I have been working at Levelset full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Very strong product that has significant traction in a huge and emerging market (construction payments). Company is well funded with strong investors who trust the executive team. The executive team is tenured (basically a founding team) with little to no turnover from this core group. The CEO is one of the smartest and most capable leaders I have met, and his strong vision is part of what keeps many across the company...

    Cons

The work is hard and the results of your effort aren't always what you want, as they say "the path to success is non-linear". It's said often internally that "it's on the label" how difficult it is and the bumps that you will confront along the way to building the company. Even if you are expecting the bumps - frustrating performance, failed projects, turnover, competition, etc - it can still be maddening. Just know what...

It's sometimes hard to keep up with the amount of growth and what's going on, but it's an exciting place to be at an exciting time.

I have been working at Levelset full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Feels like you're part of a family - Everyone from the CEO down truly cares about you as an individual and wants to see you succeed - Get to work on a product that provides real, concrete value for hard-working Americans and helps democratize our complex legal system - Incredible benefits and work-life balance - Fun, playful, laid-back office environment

    Cons

One of the biggest cons is not having strong Product leadership right now. There are plenty of challenges at any company working on solving a big, complex problem. If it was easy everyone would do it. That's what make working here interesting and unique.

    Advice to Management

Management here supports and cares for employees in ways that I didn't think I'd ever see in my professional life. When life happens and you're going through a difficult time, they are there to support you 150%. I've seen this happen with multiple different employees. They treat people like humans. This really stems from Scott Wolfe and how he cares for all of us as individuals. Under his leadership, this culture of caring...

I have been working at Levelset full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Levelset is one of the few companies I have worked for, where I feel fully committed to the purpose and vision. We are changing the way construction industry exchanges payments. Bottom line, you are helping contractors get PAID! If you are looking for a company that is growing like crazy and enjoy rewarding work, this is the place for you!

    Cons

We have a huge vision of becoming a billion dollar company. That does not come easy. We come in every day and work our butts off. If you are not up for the daily grind, this might not be the right fit for you.

    Pros

The people you get to work with here are incredible. Working with everyone to solve complex problems almost seems fun at times even though it can be difficult at times, as well. The amount of focus, collaboration, hard work and people who want to improve themselves and help others truly have made Levelset the most important place to work for me.

I have been working at Levelset full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Transparency. company syncs, office hours with some of the exec team and the letters our CEO writes for the board and investors are shared with the whole company. I feel like I always know what's going on. - The people here make the culture. We cheer each other on. We're honest with our feedback, and we're rooting for each other to win. - It's not always easy. I think about work a lot when I'm at home some weeks. It can be easy to move too fast and make a mistake sometimes but I'm okay with that. We get through it, and try harder, and I know my team is doing its best.

I worked at Levelset full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I am usually not one for writing negative reviews of former employers, but feel strongly obligated to fairly inform others considering Levelset after reading the obviously fake positive reviews below. First the pros: - CEO Scott Wolfe is a great guy and genuinely wants the best for his employees - You get to work at what is arguably ranked one of the top startups in New Orleans - Many young people from all around...

    Cons

My cons are related specifically to my experience as an AE. If you are considering a position in another department, you may have a much better experience. Here are the negatives of working on the Levelset sales team: - You need to socially fit-in to have job security. While they say they let people go for poor performance, I was at the company long enough to see that it had little to do with who they actually retain....
