I have been working at Levelset full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Levelset is place that cares. It cares about its customers, its product, and its employees. While the ride can be bumpy as we are building something new and great (which is the first thing they told me in my interview), these challenges are met head on with transparency and empathy. Levelset has provided me the opportunity to fast track my own growth and career, which is not an opportunity that comes along often in New Orleans where most people are in hospitality or retail unless they're a business owner, doctor, or lawyer. - a mission driven culture that actually helps people - a team that wants you to succeed, even in sales where things can get cutthroat at other companies - The company is incredibly transparent and the executive team is very approachable

    Cons

Theses could be cons for some people: - Things can change quickly as we adapt to the market, and if you're not up for the challenge it can be overwhelming -You will work extremely hard, we all do, but we do it because we are passionate about the company and the mission. I've seen some people join the team who don't want to put the work while they're at the office or "in work mode" as we currently WFH. It's typically pretty obvious and they don't last very long.

I have been working at Levelset full-time

    Pros

Excellent team, tons of training, admirable mission.

    Cons

Sales Org is extremely cut throat. Goal posts seem to constantly change and no matter how well we are doing the world seems to be coming to an end. I think its important for the the sales team to be very driven, but CRO treats you like a # and if you don't hit it he will find a way to show you the door.

I have been working at Levelset full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Culture, location, coworkers, and leadership. It's rare to find a sales position that aligns with actually helping people.

    Cons

It's hard work. Working for a start up is great, but there are really rocky, stressful times that will test your mettle. This place literally comes with a warning label. Just like anywhere else, you get what you're willing to put in.

I have been working at Levelset full-time for more than a year

    Pros

This place is a family. The culture is top notch, and everyone genuinely cares. There is a clear goal, and we are all trying to achieve it. We help first. Wins are celebrated. The CEO and Sales Leaders are all very genuine people who will bend over backwards to help you on a personal level.

    Cons

Covid 19 reduction in force was tough, but that was tough on MANY companies. Its sales, you have a number to hit. Thats with ANY sales job. The cons more revolve around cons for the type of position, rather than the company. This company is phenomenal.

I have been working at Levelset full-time for less than a year

    Pros

-Company culture, perks, and benefits are great -The team is amazing and everyone I interact with daily is great -Levelset is great at giving recognition for employee's accomplishments; I've discovered that you truly get out what you put in, and great performance is celebrated

    Cons

-The base salary is not great. There is opportunity to work at performance based comp, which helps, but ultimately money is still a stressor

I have been working at Levelset full-time for more than a year

    Pros

As usual and with most companies the co-workers are great! The service Levelset sells is amazing and needed in the construction industry. The CEO is an incredible person and practices what he preaches! Most of management is easy to work with and treat the employees with respect.

    Cons

In March Levelset laid off 50% of their salesforce and 25% from every other division. They recruited many of those same people, which were laid off, from other companies and at the blink of an eye got rid of them. Be prepared for this to happen again, Levelset is still not profitable. Levelset is top heavy and has more VP's, Directors and Managers than many companies twice their size. BTW-no manager, VP or Director was ever laid off. No matter what they tell you the money is not there and salary is much lower than others in the software industry. Only a few reps hit quota and even fewer hit quota consistently. Recently they started a Mid-Market division. They are struggling in this area and have yet to attain many of the customers they are targeting. Levelset has a very transactional mindset and deal structure and have had difficulty understanding how Mid-Market customers think and purchase. With all that is said above it does not make me dislike the company I work for. I want those applying at Levelset to know what they are getting into before they sign on.

I worked at Levelset full-time for more than a year

    Pros

There’s not many options in NOLA, so it’s an okay job to start out. You can gain some experience in tech, but I doubt it would equate to bigger cities. Has some good funding in the past.

    Cons

It’s a stressful job, and you’re not really paid enough. Deal with difficult customers who are over promised based on legal right to payment. Managers aren’t qualified enough to be VPs. Strategic plans seem to change often and at will. If I hadn’t left, I didn’t feel like I would really ever have job security. Culture in the company isn’t want the reviews are saying.

    I worked at Levelset full-time

    Pros

    Some free food and snacks

    Cons

If you enjoy making 100 outbounds a day and harassing people this job is for you. Not only that, but the leads i was given to call had already been called a few years before by a guy that is know as their top rep and he had listed them as "lost" in SFDC. Did they think i would not notice this? Did they not notice this? Ridiculous. Also al their values are amazing..if only they would follow them. This job was a joke.

I have been working at Levelset full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I started my career at Levelset and came in with minimal knowledge of sales. Since then, I am very proud to see how I have grown thanks to the tremendous amount of support the team has given me. It starts with leadership. The CEO and VP of Sales are well thought out and make it a point to mentor anyone in the organization that raises their hand. There is a continual investment in your career here. Trainings are conducted weekly and the company isn't afraid to bring in outside consultants for advanced sales techniques. The sales managers themselves all have impressive backgrounds and provide an ample amount of sales knowhow. While selling to construction companies can be difficult at times, the customers love Levelset, which makes it easy to sell. I've been lucky enough to collect hundreds of stories about ways that our customers succeeded with Levelset. Knowing that you are making a real difference in your customers' lives helps to break off some of the tedious work that is involved in sales.

    Cons

There were some difficult decisions made due to COVID-19, but I do not believe any of the reviews from last week are characteristic of what working at Levelset is really like. The company's focus on the past few years has been to increase headcount. Resources can spread thin at times and it takes a lot of effort to consistently produce.
