Pros

The best telecommunications network in the NYMA region that excels at our core product offerings. The compensation plan is still rich even after a 30% reduction in payouts from the year prior.

Cons

Management has gone into CYA mode with a pending merger and has done anything and everything they can to protect themselves and defer blame of their shortcomings onto others. This came to a head with their most recent attempt costing the company two key employees. A small group of high school friends have ensured their own personal success at the expense of those around them. There is rampant nepotism and different set of standards people are held to based on which clique they fall into. The CEO is often MIA and is letting the inmates run the asylum. As a long tenured veteran of Lightpath it saddens me to see us lose the nimble can do attitude ,that brought our success, exchanged for a do nothing attitude until the merger is over mind frame.

Pros

Company had a great start when it began in mid 1990's. It was nimble, had a solid foundation, and had a lot of potential. Services are still OK but falling behind fast. The worker bees are great but they can only do so much for you.

Cons

Along comes a new president in 2005 and the whole place becomes the most depressing company. How does a leader get put in place ....who does not inspire? Who doesn't know how to speak to people? Who can't display any leadership or sense of direction? Who puts people in upper management because he knows they won't challenge him? Who thrives on the idea that he can make things miserable for his employees because they won't leave? Favoritism is rampant and if you don't challenge management with new ideas and swallow StoryLeaders methodology "hook-line-and sinker", you become Sr VP of Sales. Take a look at the ratings. There's a reason this company gets barely over 2 stars as a rating!
