I worked at MMI full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The Techies that are a part of MMI know what they are doing and do it well. There are a couple work horses that tow the load.

    Cons

When I started I was not given; a job title, job description, an hierarchy of command, or work for two weeks. I after the welcome and a desk given to me with nothing else I went to the HR department to find out who I was suppose to report to. I was given a name and set off to meet my new boss. She denied being my boss and said someone else was (No Name Given). After two weeks of trying to find work to do and helping out where I was allowed the head of the company said to a subordinate give this guy something to do or fire him. That was the first instance of meeting my boss, his subordinate (Daughter). I am not going to continue because you can get the general idea.

    Advice to Management

Middle Management needs to be retrained

    I worked at MMI full-time

    Pros

    - My managers were smart, caring mentors that cared about your career and your personal life.
    - I never had to keep track of sick days.
    - I had the ability to use and create the latest relevant technologies.

    Cons

    - There were unclear bonus structures.
    - There were non-negotiable salaries that were on the lower end of being competitive.
    - The company has an old-school corporate way of doing things that can be frustrating at times.

    Advice to Management

    - It's hard to be agile in a manufacturing environment, but I would recommend moving towards an agile environment that could potentially help facilitate faster growth.
    - On the culture spectrum from start-up to old-school corporate, I would recommend moving more towards the start-up mentality, at least a little bit. This might help attract better talent and increase employee morale.
