Pros

In house chef to whip you up some food. The culture and 100 year vision is fantastic. Good opportunities to try different jobs if you are willing to sell your house, move across the country/globe and buy a NEW house with higher interest rates.

Cons

No incentive to sell. Fluff CRM numbers, nobody’s calls ever made any sense and were only inputted because boss man told you to do so. Leave at 5:05pm and you’ll be BBQd by boss man. If you want to live inside the office, this is the perfect place for you. Bring your tent. They have meetings on meetings on meetings, sometimes they’ll even have meetings on how to run meetings, followed by another meeting.

Pros

Hard working Employees, satisfying and challenging work. Great place for gaining 6 months experience (then off to a reputable company)

Cons

Company believes profits should be gained by "shaving" overtime time pay and guilt tripping you into working for free... Instead of maintaining quality human capital, company prefers to hire less qualified employees who will work for free. Innovation is non existent at mainfreight, it is all a "make a quick dollar today" mentality. biggest con is the Los Angeles logistics "management". constant condescending to employees for not performing duties as expected by upper management. LA logistics is famous for its nuclear employee turnover rate, good human capital runs out of this place as soon as they realize MF of LA Logistics is the least qualified manager to work under. team morale is non existent, everyday you are understaffed and you are verbally berated by MF on a hourly basis. Management has NO accountability for team not working well. teams fall apart chronically due to good employees leaving so quickly. management is also famous for blacklisting employees from moving around company as punishment for MF not "liking" you. being "liked" in the company relates to how much overtime you are willing to work without pay, and how much you can put up with the immaturity of MF of la logistics.

Pros

Apples with buckets were free

Cons

Incompetent, unethical and outright dangerous, untamed responsibility, disguised as “decentralized “and hidden behind the fake façade, that is their culture. The Branch Managers are “kings“and given autonomy and full power to make the terrible decisions without responsibility or any accountability whatsoever. Again, this is hidden in there “pillars “which are outdated and desperate, referring to their employees as family. However, they mistreat degrade and fire quality “family members”. Meanwhile, so many incompetent are allowed to fly under the radar. These kings are outright clowns and jesters to their kingdoms and it is a dumpster fire. There is zero network whatsoever and no collaboration in any regard or accountability between branches and divisions. One branch can outright refuse to deliver your freight, while your sister branch within the same building can give your freight to a competitor. And you can do nothing about it. Only branch managers have some power to do so, however that falls in line with the incompetence factor. The CEO and executive leadership are that of nepotism. Jason Braid (daddy Don Braid, equally as full on toxic masculinity) no business running the company, he is a spoiled rich kid. Nothing more. Who has to stay at his swanky $500/ night hotels in the hip city neighborhoods. Meanwhile, everyone else is being chauffeured by randoms at office, hotels by airports and no rental cars. Totally fair and legit, because you know his 1.5 hours of accumulative work is exhausting! Those with confidence and actual leadership are downgraded to kiss the ring of these clowns, and there is only accountability for the ones who actually aren’t “yes” people and the much needed adjustment to the status quo and decentralized approach. Again based on arrogance and the outright, ignorant assumption, that what is successful in Australia, and New Zealand will then certainly be successful here in United States. There is zero assimilation, And they send over more people from Australia, New Zealand to bring their “” culture “which typically comes with what ongoing and settled lawsuits, as well as other levels of incompetence. It’s almost as if the reverse of Australia once was when they’re now sending the convicts here to United States! The irony in this company and its ability to actually be something is quite hilarious. But pretty miserable when you’re living in it. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this company, and always be weary of any sales position that offers you a base salary, and NO commission. Because you certainly will not be getting a bonus of anything substantial, given all the factors that they layer into making it outright impossible to receive a full bonus. Meanwhile, if you don’t kiss the ring, if you were so lucky, to be blessed with a 3% raise, cost-of-living, then there is outright retaliation. The amount of unethical behavior here is appalling, and again it’s comical, that they referred to their culture that was written in 1978 on the back of a McDonald’s napkin in Australia is expected to stillapply to present day. You are ridiculed and mocked publicly if you do not participate or if your late for their 6 AM morning walks, that are intended to be a team bonding experience. However, it is an outright competition of alpha male wannabes leading the pack and trying to outdo one another, and essentially wean the herd of the week. It is truly disgusting and a horrible display of dehumanizing their employees, which is a laughable word they won’t let you use. It is only family or team members- pathetic.
