I have been working at Mainline Information Systems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Mainline gives employees a great deal of professional and personal latitude, especially for field personnel. Folks with some self-determination can do well here.

    Cons

Not much to pick on - advancement opportunities can be difficult and can sometimes mean a shift in function (between sales and delivery)

    Advice to Management

Company needs to embrace the changes in their customer space and continue to evolve in that direction, even if its uncomfortable to begin with.

    Pros

Not many. Some of the folks are ok to work with.

    Cons

Management team is a good old boys club. They love to reward and promote each other. Plenty of other places to work out there.

    Advice to Management

Clean house on the management team..CEO loves to show off all his toys your hard work funds. Houses, boats, trips, helicopters, planes...you get the idea...

Good President. HQ are in Florida.

Still holding on to on premise HW as growth. No one listens to President.

    Advice to Management

None. You have the right people for Hardware growth.

I worked at Mainline Information Systems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

No good reasons anymore to work there.

    Cons

When I first started at Mainline, the leadership cared about the employees. At Corporate, they would hold family movie nights, weekly Wednesday breakfasts if we met goals, happy hours, Mon-Fri virtual lunch concierge, Baskin Robbins ice cream socials on-site. It was a fun place to work and we worked hard and put in long hours because management appreciated us.

Now, you are lucky to get a "hello" from the leadership team. They don't know or want to know your name. Sad!

They haven't given raises in about 7 years and management has the attitude that if you don't like it here, then leave.

Unfortunately, they don't have any growth or opportunity. You will be stuck at the same job.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better, then you will find that everything else will be better. Bad morale hurts everyone and everything.

    Pros

Good salaries, great work / life balance, decent benefits, good management.

    Cons

As far as I can tell your salary is set when you come into the company, increases appear to be through bonuses and promotions only, but I've only been with them a few years.

    Advice to Management

Stay competitive on salaries and review them occasionally based on job market.

I worked at Mainline Information Systems full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Most the people are great! Was a great culture of entrepreneurial spirit. Contributions were measurable and compensation was based of the contributions. What was good for you war good for the company.

    Cons

Current executive team came in a focused on expense cutting instead of growing business. Removed measurable incentives and replace all leadership with inner circle friends and family. Executive team run the company for personal benefits at the owners and employees expense. Not sure why owner continues to let this go on. This current business model can not service the long haul.

    Advice to Management

Remove the personal greed and return to what is best for the company and its employees.

I have been working at Mainline Information Systems full-time

    Pros

Mainline has great work and life balance, requires minimum travel, has a very competent support staff, and management that at least listens.
    Support staff
    Flexible schedule
    Minimum travel

    Cons

Mainline is spread from coast to coast with most resources located on the east coast. Great if you're located in the east as I am, but could be a real bummer if you're not. Very good resources in compute and storage, but very shallow in network.

    Advice to Management

Add pre and post sales network resources. Move more aggressively into security, cloud and other areas related to the core business. Have more patience with investments.

I have been working at Mainline Information Systems full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working with Mainline allows for independent thought, time management, and individual process control. I am a current employee and have enjoyed working with all of my coworkers. The company is experiencing hard times just as any other at the time being, but is doing everything in a positive way to keeping that stress from the employees.

    Cons

Communication is sometimes lacking from the top down which makes consistency and decision making challenging.
