    Pros

Lots of learning in the few couple of years of working. Great learning environment. Free hot coffee in the lunch area. Lots of interaction with people. If you're lucky you might get a chance to get a full-time position with the company. Lots of positions available once you're in the company.

    Cons

Low pay, lots of repetitive work. A lot of heavy lifting coolers. Hand cramps from repetitive signing Chain of Custodies. Benefits don't start until 12 months after contract. Managers will try anything to no give overtime. Long hours.

    Advice to Management

Recognize your employees more. Payroll is almost as bad a minimum wage.

I have been working at Maxxam Analytics full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good management in remote labs, lots of young professionals, lower competition for entry level jobs.

    Cons

Low salary if you're working in the city. The company dynamic seems to change a lot. Unhappy with the lack of salary increases despite getting great reviews. They provide the minimum two weeks of vacation.

    Advice to Management

Make sure the remote lab workers are not ignored by HR. Overall your priorities seem good and I'm happy with the management I've received.

I worked at Maxxam Analytics full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Fresh brewed coffee and specialty drinks in the lunchroom. There really aren't many perks.

    Cons

Overtime all the time. Promotions are based unprofessionally, often based on whether you can work any and all shifts, for example, back to back night shift to a morning shift as your permanent schedule. Too many untrained co-ops with no intention of training them properly and unpaid at that. The staff feel they don't have a relationship with management at all and are treated like just another number. Lots of finger pointing when things go wrong.

    Advice to Management

Please work to improve staff happiness and fulfillment going forward and not just the financial numbers.

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Will hire even if you are straight out of school, will train.

    Cons

After being bought out by BV corp, the organization became very top heavy. The field techs basically run themselves while supervisors micromanage as they basically have no purpose. Very frustrating with the low wages.

    Advice to Management

PAY MORE. seriously, its a running joke in the company, everyone is always looking for another job that actually pays a fair wage, even in the same industry. Hire more techs, get rid of the supervisors, they don't bring in work and they just create problems with staff.
