Love the Job Model but Drawbacks Are Draining
Pros
Remote work, travel, teamwork, good amount of PTO time.
Cons
the company challenges you for 5.00 on expense reports when you are absolutely exhausted from traveling and working overtime for no extra pay. You spend your own money to travel-there is no company card. There is no one to help you make reservations-they fired the person that used to do this. Researching and booking is on your time...as is expensing and the expensing reports get sent through managers then sent back to you for a simple small item which holds it up. It takes hours to do all of it. And they change the way expenses are done and you have tto relearn a new system always. Yet they can take a month to pay you back or more. It's stress nobody needs. I told my team I needed to stop travel for a while. I can't owe interest on thousands of dollar trips on my card. They need to pay you immediately and indicate priority of this. The team is good, however and everyone helps each other. This is true but the hours are endless, so you are sometimes not able to have time for a meeting to update each other. and work-life balance is now non-existent due to being overworked without extra pay. You should be paid overtime for the number of hours you are doing, but you don't get any extra for nights, long days, weekends..it can be tiring to work for this company. I understand the salary, but I have not done just a 40 hour week in years. It's disingenous to hire for a 40-hour posiition, as this is a 60-hour position. My family says it's taking away my life. I need to spend time with my grandchildren and the days go by so fast. I bring my laptop to family dinners...please we do need to hire more qualified, good workers.
