Great company for remote, seasonal work
Mar 18, 2023 - Remote Reader/EvaluatorRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
-The seasonal nature of this position is great for being able to work for a set amount of time to make supplemental income for your needs or wants (e.g., you can use the income from working this job to pay extra on certain bills/debt or to save up towards buying something you want). -Ability to work remotely. -Flexible shift times. You can choose the time of day that works best for your needs (mornings, evenings, or a full day). -Flexibility to work either part-time or full-time hours, depending on the project. -Team leads are helpful.
Cons
-Sometimes the start date for the scoring season is delayed. -If you run out of work during the scoring season, or the project ends early, that is the end of your contract (so, you may not be able to make as much money as you originally planned). -While the money made from this position can be good supplemental income, it isn't enough to afford major bills like rent. -Work can be repetitive which can get boring at times.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
It was pretty relaxed and organized and work was consistent. Everyone was nice and professional.
Cons
Remote work can be difficult to focus on as there are more distractions. The work is a little repetitive, too.
- Current Employee★★★★★
Pros
Flexible, decent pay, and good communication system.
Cons
I Wish it wasn’t seasonal.
- Former Employee★★★★★
Pros
Work from home and at your own pace
Cons
There are no cons to this position.

OK for what it is
Dec 12, 2021 - Reader/Scorer Online in Nashville, TNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Work is now remote; a dependable source of seasonal work (not counting recent COVID-related disturbances in work flow and availability); varied projects that can be interesting, depending on test topic; courteous team leaders and project leaders, good communication (via chat); suited for retirees, gig workers, teachers or post-undergrad students with summers free, or people between jobs.
Cons
With COVID interrupting school attendance, work season is shorter and more intermittent. "Full-time" (7 hour days, 45-minute unpaid lunch and two paid 15-minute breaks) might be as little as a half-day or less, and recent projects can fluctuate daily, so you never know if you actually have work, or how much. A return to normal school attendance would likely help restore work flow, which is usually about a half-year season (with some pauses that can't be easily predicted). Pay is decent but modest for college degree (undergrad degree required): as a seasoned, longtime employee, I get 12.95 an hour). Work can be repetitive, particularly in the case of short-answer test formats. Not recommended as a viable alternative to reliable full-time work.

Excellent place to work

You choose your hours and can work as much as you would like. The company provides lots of training and resources and it is pleasant, non-stressful work. They do expect you to learn everything and ask for help if you do not understand something.
Cons
I can think of no cons at all.
- Former Employee, less than 1 year★★★★★
Pros
It's a great company to work for. The pay is good.
Cons
The assignments don't last that long.
- Former Employee, more than 3 years★★★★★
Pros
It's a job to pay bills
Cons
Need to be a member of the club to get promoted.
