I have been working at Mercedes-Benz USA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great friendly people too work with. Clean environment. Good benefits.

    Cons

Was told can work overtime but once I had a steady 2 or 3 hours ot a week boss told me I can no longer have over time. More like a job not career position like they advertised on job posting. Other dealers pay more for same position. Asked for a little bump in pay was denied. If I did not live in NJ my pay would be fine. Took almost year to get my employee # into system and my email took few months to get going.

    Advice to Management

Reconize and appreciate workers going the extra mile. Goes a long way
"My job is too make you look good without compromising the truth" is what I tell my boss or any upper management I do work for.

I have been working at Mercedes-Benz USA full-time

    Pros

there can be a lot of free time. You can't stay on your phone and relax sometimes and they have food that you can eat during work

    Cons

Its very hard to keep up who still works there because every week someone either gets fired or they quit. The management is really disorganized.

I have been working at Mercedes-Benz USA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company culture is changing to cater to the new hires as well as to make the pre-existing employees (pre-move to ATL)

    Cons

Unfortunately some areas within IT are not changing at the pace the EM is trying to implement changes to the rest of the company...
    Vastly under-paid employees

    Advice to Management

Revisit the employee salaries before most of your "new hires" move on to better opportunities...

    Pros

New hire training was great. Very good trainers. The culture of the company is very positive and structured. Great managers, senior coworkers are very helpful.

    Cons

As in any sales commision based position, you mist be prepared to work extra hours daily. Overall opportunity to maximize your commision payment is very difficult.

    I worked at Mercedes-Benz USA full-time

    Pros

Good Benefits, work/life balance, competitive salary

    Cons

Too much politics. Non technical people holding critical technology decision making position in IT Department.

    Advice to Management

Cut the politics and let talented people make critical IT decisions at all levels. Transfer all non technical people to the business side.

I have been working at Mercedes-Benz USA full-time

    Pros

    -Incredible Products
-Making great strides in attracting millennial talent
    -Large shift in corporate culture
    -Benefits are great
-Free Healthy snacks show they care about the welfare of employees

    Cons

-Compensation is far below industry standard (presumably for the "privilege" of working for Mercedes-Benz
-Middle Management is ill-trained and can be petty and power-hungry. GM's and up are great
-Very little diversity in Executives - All non-American, no females, all caucasian
-inadequate parking - this will be fixed in their new HQ, but hundreds of employees must park offsite and walk
-Work-life balance is still very off-kilter
-Old school management v. New School Employees often butt heads over workstyle (must be seen at your desk 9-5)
-Often difficult achieving any real change under the Daimler thumb

    Advice to Management

-Salary isn't everything, consistently paying so far below the industry standard will CONTINUE to result in hoards of employees jumping ship for better opportunities that fairly reward them
