I worked at Meriter Health Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great people; decent benefits.

    Cons

Depends on what department and who is running it; some departments were great, other departments had high turnover because no would stay with the managers/directors.

    Advice to Management

Not interested in your insulting bagel/donut breakfast for team-building. All you have to do is treat people decently.

I worked at Meriter Health Services part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great working environment. Super clean, staff and management is helpful. There are multiple parties and celebration, which includes great food.

    Cons

There are not too many cons I can think of but when the organization create new polices they have an expectancy for everyone to be on board. Also there are a lot surveys to fill throughout the year.

    Advice to Management

Overall management is doing a good job. I suggest they keep working hard to be a great employer! The best of luck!

I worked at Meriter Health Services part-time

    Pros

Great communication with co-workers, very hands on work, great feedback, great culture!

    Cons

Some of the tech constantly fails, which can be frustrating.

    Advice to Management

Give more options and responsibilities to work study for them to learn and improve.

I have been working at Meriter Health Services part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Most nurses are doing a great job and really working as team with CNAs.
    - Excellent manager.
    - Many opportunities to continue your education.

    Cons

    - Poor schedule flexibility, like in every healthcare job.
    - More and more understaffed.

    Advice to Management

.We need more staff in order to provide the best care possible to our patients

I have been working at Meriter Health Services (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are good! That's about it.

    Cons

Toxic work environment. Horrible work ethic. Staff quitting left and right (if they haven't already quit, they're looking to get out); sweet to the face and horrible behind the backs. Managers have no clue what is actually going on in their department. Constant bad mouthing of upper management. Your social status is how you were treated. (Doctors treated with loyalty, CNA's treated like peasants)

    Advice to Management

I have given so much advice and no changes!

I have been working at Meriter Health Services part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have worked in a lot of hospitals and Meriter is the best I've been in as far as coordination among team members so that patients have the best care. Communication is better than in most places due to electronic scheduling and Vocera communication system. Disciplines seem willing to help each other without the issues many places have. Good focus on continuing education and improving processes for efficiency.

    Cons

I wish they had more hours to offer me because I like working there.

I worked at Meriter Health Services part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly co-workers, beautiful office settings, generally amicable patient base, many informative meetings about upcoming workplace changes, free parking

    Cons

while there are many informative meetings about upcoming changes, the purpose of the changes is to maintain current patient base and to means to grow the patient base in a region where Meriter is the underdog in the new Obamacare environment. So things are as staffing lean as possible with overtime strongly discouraged yet patient needs are to be met cheerfully but within office hours.

    Advice to Management

Stop recreating the health industry wheel. Use the experience manifested by advice of your staff from other health competitors instead of out of town advisors.

I worked at Meriter Health Services (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay was decent. Benefits seemed good as well (vacation build up was awesome).

    Cons

Toxic work environment. Horrible work ethic. Managers, supervisors and staff quitting left and right (if they haven't already quit, they're looking to get out). Specific employees lack empathy for patients and fellow coworkers; sweet to the face and horrible behind the backs. Constant bad mouthing of upper management.

    Advice to Management

Weed out the toxic employees that make daily life intolerable, morale may just go up.

    Pros

Enjoyed opportunities to work on a wide range of projects at a small community hospital. Teams worked very well together and many employees stayed for 30+ years.

    Cons

Changes in leadership had a negative impact on culture for some resulting in some of the best people leaving in 2014.
