Pros

Lots of interaction with other employees as you discuss just how bad management and products are.

Cons

Manager that is in charge of day to day operations has zero clue on how to run a company. It almost seems that they are intentionally trying to run the company into the ground. There is no concept of how to market products or stay competitive. There is no set pricing structure, with each customers pricing done on the fly, with hidden charges that only become apparent to the customer later, much to their displeasure. The product might have been good at one time, but is far from competitive now. Sales are nearly non-existent, with more customers being lost than new customers coming on board. There is little regard for being truthful to both prospects and existing customers, with features being promised that do not exist and will not be developed in the future. Employees are treated very poorly, with no vacation in the first year, then one week in year two. Few employees make it to year two, since the conditions are so bad that people realize they have to leave pretty quickly. Any positive reviews on Glassdoor are written by management, and everyone is well aware of that. Nobody has passed on jobs at Google to work at MessageSolution, and it is an absolutely toxic environment to work in. This company really is a joke, and I do feel sorry for the people that have hung on. If you're thinking of joining, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Pros

Little private/work life competition. You have plenty of time to do your own personal stuff.

Cons

Deceptive management tactics like lying to customers about products and pricing. If you are bold enough to stand up to management, it is taken very poorly. If you are on the good side of the single manager, its fine. But if you're on the bad side, he will do everything to make you quit. In my 2 years there, I saw at least 5 people come and go in a matter of 3-6 months. Everything is micro-managed, as a sales person, you need to be able to strategist your approach and relationship with the client. Here, the single manager is the one behind operations and always mico-managing your deal. So really all sales does is follow suit. Very high turnover rate due to low company morale. Employees even stop coming in without notice. Poor starting wage.

Pros

Co-workers are pretty nice and easy to get along with.

Cons

The whole office is run by one of the three brothers who own the company. Unless you like being micromanaged I wouldn't suggest working here. Account managers and sales associates are told to lie to customers. Product sucks, they get so many complaint calls a day, you wouldn't even be able to count them all on two hands. You are told to take the blame for things that aren't your fault, manager practically throws you under the bus every chance he gets. And don't even THINK about arguing with him because he's ALWAYS right. When you get hired you are told it's a salary paid position, but don't listen to that crap... It's 100% hourly paid, you have to clock in and clock out, and even if you leave a minute early from your 8 hour shift, expect your pay check to be a lot lower than it should be. Also, no sick days or vacation days at all until your second year, but I wouldn't count on that either.
